About Lit Cocktails LLC

Lit Cocktails LLC

Owner

My name is Diamond Davis. I am a former restaurant manager, event coordinator and bartender. My restaurant closed due to Covid-19 so I thought of a way I could still do what I love while providing others with happiness and relief. One of the happiest days of my life was my wedding day. Although happy, it was stressful and nerve-wracking. Just prior to walking down the aisle, I took a shot to ease my nerves. Sounds weird but, I thought, "I'd like to ease people's nerves on their big day." Thus you have, Lit Cocktails! Providing you with ease and relief on your big day--- Alcoholically.

Lit Cocktails was created with the guests in mind. We make it our mission to make sure the host does not have to worry about the fun of the guests. Leave that to us. Drinks and good music can make for a hell of a good time. We'll take care of the drinks, just make sure you get the music going! We love EVERYONE. As a Black and LGBTQ-owned business, we are all-inclusive.

Dear Becky, Considering your abysmal treatment of me and my business partner, I am disappointed by all the false claims in your review. I was hoping some time and reflection on your part would improve your disposition but I see, sadly, it hasn't. As you have noted in your review, I do strive to put my clients at ease and provide support for them on their journey to their wedding day. This includes the tasting you mentioned, which I charge a very small fee to cover ingredients and travel. At the end of that two-hour tasting of over 10 different cocktails, not once did you express any dissatisfaction with any of the drinks, but instead raved about the drinks and asked for refills (specifically the espresso martini, which you chose as one of your specialty cocktails). Following this tasting, I continued to work with your additional demands of uncompensated site visits to a location over an hour outside my service area and an additional uncompensated tasting. This still was not enough to satisfy you. I was asked to attend a second site visit, which I politely declined. You then asked for another uncompensated tasting to "practice" making a Painkiller, a drink that I supplied you with during our initial tasting. Unable to accommodate your last minute request, I asked you to send me your version of the recipe, so I could be sure to make it to your standards on your wedding day and you proceeded to send me the exact same recipe I used to prepare this drink at your tasting. To clarify on which services were "out of scope," meaning, not that I cannot provide these services, but that these services do incur extra charges. These services include: • A third specialty cocktail (two are included with my package) • Pre-batching those 3 specialty cocktails, which I simply added on an hour of service time to be able to prepare this in time for service • The addition of 20 more guests, which changes the initial service quote • The addition of 2 mocktails, also pre-batched, which incurs an additional charge for additional ingredients and prep time necessary and is also considered a specialty cocktail. This, you added on a week before your event and insisted on making yourself, so as not to incur the extra charges. I never asked you to. • The addition of a second bartender, who you repeatedly refer to as "my wife". She is, in fact, my business partner and a certified bartender. All of the above services were added on after our initial consultation, within the weeks leading up to your wedding. And after I updated your invoice (in which I was already giving you a discounted rate) to include some of these changes, you proceeded to call me and scream at me over daring to charge you extra for things you asked for. I am very mindful of budgets and have worked with countless clients to find solutions and services that fit within their budgets. I, however, am a business and cannot work for free. Any stress added to your plate, was due to your unwillingness to properly compensate me for these additions as well as making constant changes leading up to the week of your wedding. In the 3 years I've been in business and over a hundred events my business partner and I have bartended, you are the only client I have had to part ways with. I am happy you found someone you trusted more than me to make your wedding a success and I wish you all the best on your new marriage.

  • Disgusting "professionalism"

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was beyond hurt and disappointed by Diamond's lack of professionalism and service. My husband and I hired Diamond from across the country. She seemed kind and courteous and like she genuinely had our back and cared about our experience. We were able to make it out to California a month and a half before the wedding and she agreed to meet us for a tasting of the cocktails we had discussed. They were AWFUL! I have bartended for may years and haven't tasted anything that sugary or processed ever. There was one drink in particular that is famous where we live and I asked later on very politely if she had time for us to get together so I could show her how to make it how I wanted to which she told me no. We also had 20 more people than we had initially planned on and she offered adding on her wife for a second bartender to which we agreed to pay the additional costs. We also requested her making a mocktail for our non-drinkers, to which she replied that it would be "too much for her" and asked ME to do it as a bride ON MY WEDDING DAY!!! I said that I would figure it out, but felt very uneasy and very upset that she was making our special day more stressful on us. One week before the wedding as we were packing to leave at 10:30pm at night, she sent us an email (not a call, not a text....AN EMAIL) to quit saying that we had "added too much and it was beyond her scope". I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional. This caused us so much undue stress for someone who "had our back" and truly hurt us. Luckily, we were able to find another vendor who had phenomenal drinks, better pricing, and included alcohol. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Diamond from Lit Cocktails was an absolute gem at our wedding! Her custom cocktails were the talk of the evening, and she brought an incredible level of creativity to our special day. The drinks she crafted were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding a touch of elegance to the entire event. Diamond's professionalism and warm personality made her a joy to work with. Our guests were thrilled, and our wedding wouldn't have been the same without her. If you're looking for a top-notch bartender, Diamond is the one to choose!

While I was the bride, I could have hung out with Diamond and her second bartender all night. They were so much fun!! Diamond is so professional, charismatic, and a hard worker! We did his and hers signature cocktails, his was a cucumber jalapeno margarita and hers was a moscow mule. Each executed with perfection! The cucumber jalapeno juice was homemade by Diamond and it has been weeks since our wedding and people are still telling me how great it was. Plus, we are still getting people telling us how amazing our bartenders were! Thank you so much, Diamond!!
