Classical Guitarist

Jonathan is a graduate of Duquesne University with a B.S. in Music Education with guitar as his major instrument. Since graduation Jon has been active as a performing guitarist and teacher. He is also an instrumental music teacher for two Christian Schools. Jonathan has provided music for wedding ceremonies and receptions and church services. He has also performed in art galleries, wineries, and restaurants. He has also played for special events including First Night York, The Riverwalk Arts Festival, the Lancaster Arts Festival and the Cherry Lane Box Lunch Revue. Jonathan also has played guitar for several musicals.

Jonathan Kunkle believes that music is an essential part of a wedding ceremony and sets the right tone for your event. Jonathan is a true professional when working with you to create the perfect playlist for your wedding. He can perform as a soloist on the guitar or include up to two other musicians. Jonathan works with each couple to select the right music for their wedding. He has played for outdoor and indoor weddings, as well as in churches. If you are looking for reception music, he has a repertoire of solo selections. He can also learn new songs and provides his own microphones.

    He is so so so amazing!

    From our first conversation, Jonathan Kunkle made planning our ceremony music incredibly easy and stress-free. He went above and beyond when our officiant reached out and asked him to play during one of his readings – and knowing I'm a huge Swiftie, Jonathan actually learned a Taylor Swift song with barely any notice to surprise us. The compliments we got about the guitar music during our ceremony and cocktail hour were endless, and it's clear guests felt the care he put into every note. Jonathan's willingness to be flexible and creative made him such a joy to work with, and his talent truly elevated our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better addition to our wedding.

    Wonderful Addition to May 2025 Wedding

    Mr. Kunkle performed at our wedding ceremony and appetizer hour last year. He was very accommodating and willing to travel a distance to perform at the event. Not to mention he is extremely talented and has a wide selection of songs you may request. His music was a beautiful addition to our ceremony and truly made it feel special and unique.

    PERFECT for a wedding!

    Jonathan was a wonderful find for our wedding! We had him play during cocktail hour- he provided perfect background music.
