Q: What do you wear?

I have a variety of dresses and gowns to suit most weddings. I am happy to try and coordinate, or I can wear formal black if that would suit your plans better.

Q: Do you learn new songs?

I am happy to learn up to two new songs, if there is piano music available for me to purchase. There is a $15 fee per song, and requests have to be made 1 month before your wedding. It is best to check and see if the song you are thinking of will work before booking.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Absolutely! You will be able to customize all of your choices! I have an extensive repertoire, and you may choose whatever you like from my repertoire without any additional charge.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

I provide music for either, or both! My 2024 base price is $450, which covers your ceremony, or two hours of background music. You can add additional hours for $100 each.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Insurance is available upon request, and is an additional $25.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

I generally arrive between 30 and 45 minutes before I am scheduled to play.

Q: Do you provide an amplifier?

Yes! I have a battery powered amp, so you can plan on having that boost of sound, and I do not need to have access to power.

Q: What is your style?

I am classically trained, but I am comfortable in many styles, including pop, Bollywood, and R and B.

Q: How far will you travel?

My normal travel area runs from Lake Forest to the north, St Charles to the west, Kankakee to the south, and Merrillville to the east. I will sometimes go farther, but there will be an additional charge.

Q: Can the harp be used in a light rain?

No, unfortunately the harp will be ruined in light rain, or excessively hot or cold temperatures. For this reason, it is important that you have a rain contingency plan. Additionally, the harp will need to be kept out of direct sunlight.

Harpist

I am a solo harpist working in the greater Chicago area. I am classically trained, but well versed in all musical styles. I am easy to reach, and have a quick response time. My years of experience will help ensure that your music planning will be efficient and low stress. I travel with my full sized concert grand harp (even to outdoor locations), and I always have a battery powered amp with me, so the sound will be fantastic!

My repertoire lists on my website and YouTube channel are separated into categories, so you can easily find what you are looking for, whether it is classical, Bollywood, or popular. I can learn special requests, so your possibilities are endless! My base starting price ($500) covers your ceremony in the greater Chicago region, or two hours of background music. I have up charges for parking (if not provided), additional hours of music ($125 per hour, if needed), or for special request songs not in my repertoire ($15).

All the music you need for your ceremony, chosen from my repertoire lists ~30 minutes of prelude music leading up to your ceremony ~All processional music, and anything you would like to include in the ceremony, such as a unity element ~5 minutes of postlude music (after the conclusion of your ceremony) ~~~Optional: ~You can add up to 2 special request songs (songs not already in my repertoire) for $15 each ~You can add a cocktail hour in the same location for $100

Description

A custom playlist for your reception! I plan for approximately 20 songs per hour, and you are able to customize every single one of them! I have a large repertoire (listed on my websites) for you to choose from. Or, if you'd rather, make a few suggestions and leave the rest to me. If there is a special song that you want to include that I don't already play, I am happy to purchase and learn up to two new songs (cost is $15 each). Additional hours of music can be added for $125 each.
