Becca and Scott are a husband and wife team creating story-driven photography and Super 8 films for couples who value art, trust the process, and understand the importance of slowing down. We're drawn to the quiet, meaningful moments that often pass unnoticed: the way time feels when you're fully immersed in it, the laughter and light that fills a room when everyone you love is together.

I highly recommend Becca and Scott. I sent in an inquiry form, and soon after Becca scheduled a call for us to discuss what we envisioned for our wedding day and to tell us about their different packages. We were not certain that we wanted a videographer, but Becca and Scott helped to guide us to make the best choice for us. Leading up to our wedding day, Becca was great about communicating with us. And best of all she created a day of timeline for us! I was so stressed about the timing of the day, but once I saw her suggested timeline, I knew it would work out great. On the day of our wedding, both Becca and Scott were awesome. They were supportive and kind, making sure that we were comfortable and able to be where we wanted to. We never felt awkward or like we were “forcing it” for the cameras. Post wedding, Becca and Scott were again great about communicating with us about when they would deliver our finalized photos and video. Both our engagement and wedding photos/ videos are beautiful. The Leighton Co has a timeless style that we love, and they do a great job of capturing you and your day as it is. It is very obvious how much hard work they put in, and how dedicated they are to the couples they work with. I know that we will look back at our pictures and videos for many years and instantly remember how loved we felt that day.

Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We all innately know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.

When we first started working with Corey, he assured us that his goal wasn't just to capture our day in photos but to really capture the "feel" of our day...and he couldn't have been more spot on. Looking through our photos brings us right back to every magical moment of our wedding day. The emotions, the movements, the colors, the love...every part of it is portrayed in Corey's pictures. If we ever need another photographer for anything at all, we will surely be contacting Corey. Thank you so much for everything you did for us!

We are two best friends, Sophie and Lauren, who turned our shared love of flowers into a true passion project! Every weekend you'll find me oohing over a wedding dress, and holding my breath for the first moment the groom sees the bride. The wedding style I like the most is candid, but I definitely don't mind posing a nervous couple, or arranging that perfect artistic shot before the light changes. I am patient, calm, and encouraging... I think I get along with everyone... I'm like the nerdy extra bridesmaid with a really killer camera.

Sarah was an amazing photographer. She was friendly and excited for us all day. She did a good job of capturing intimate moments without invading our personal space. Sarah made sure to photograph everything we asked for, as well as to suggest other great shots that we are so glad to have now. She was getting ready to leave at the end of the night and noticed a special spot under a tree with twinkle lights. She came back into the reception to see if we wanted to get pictures there, and those are some of our favorites! Her photos look just like how we experienced the day, not overly edited. I know some couples wait weeks, if not months, to get their full gallery back. Sarah sent us the link to the gallery within 72 hours! We are so glad to have gotten to work with her.

I have a long history as a photographer, starting in my twenties with large format view cameras, publishing a book of black and white portraits of Newfoundlanders, studying under Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, and with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, my cameras and equipment are all the latest digital models, but I still rely on my experience and a well trained eye for capturing the optimal moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
We recently had the privilege of working with Brightworks Photography for our wedding and I must say, we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Steve, Rebecca, and Gabe were a dream team who were professional, friendly, and extremely talented from start to finish. Their personalities melded well with ours and made for an enjoyable day as they masterfully captured all the special moments of our wedding without interrupting our experience. Our engagement photo session with them allowed us to get to know them personally and understand their methods which ultimately made our wedding day run much smoother. Their attention to detail resulted in breathtaking photos (even ensuring we had a few particular shots we came up with). Importantly, Steve and Rebecca did their research, taking the time to learn the names and photos of all the important people in our wedding to ensure everyone had an A picture and they conducted a detailed study of the venue to ensure all the best angles of light were used. I would highly recommend Brightworks Photography to anyone searching for a top-notch photography team for their special day. Thank you, Brightworks Photography, for preserving the memories of our unforgettable day that we will cherish forever.

She is personable and very cooperative. Her photographs are outstanding. We were left with a wonderful record of our event. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine in Business and Marketing and have worked in the floral/ horticulture industry for 30 years. Flowers have always been my passion and bringing someone’s vision to life is of utmost importance. Event design and execution is my strong point. Our team of creative floral designers work closely with the me and the couple to create your floral concept and overall vision.

can’t recommend Flowers by Hoboken enough for all your flower needs. I got married in August 2024 in Bar Harbor, ME and choosing Flowers by Hoboken was one of the easiest decisions. Lisa made the process so easy and enjoyable. She looked at my inspiration through Pinterest, Instagram, and her own previous clients and put together a unique and beautifully thought out proposal. I ended up adding more flowers last minute and Lisa made it very easy to do so. She also sourced a lot of our flowers locally which was really special. Our flowers were better than we could have ever imagined. It was such a pleasure working with Lisa and her team for our wedding flowers and I would recommend them over and over again. If you value the experience and do not want to feel awkward on camera, you've found the right place. Laid back couples, queer couples, non-traditional love stories, and anyone who wants to feel seen.

Jen was incredible to get to work with. She was kind and understanding, and her talent cannot be explained. I’ve never felt as beautiful as I did on our wedding day, thanks to Jen. Not only did we feel completely comfortable and safe, we actually had fun! Jen is so knowledgeable about what makes a good photo, and truly wants you to get the best photos. We got married in a Catholic cathedral, and I’ll admit I was nervous about photographing in there. I’ve been to other weddings where the photographer was disrespectful, and didn’t understand the holiness of the experience, running down the aisle, and disrupting. Jen was incredible- it was like they and their team weren’t even there. And the photos- completely unbelievable. I cannot stress this enough- if you’re an anxious bride, who needs direction, who wants to feel comfortable, and beautiful, I can’t recommend Jen enough!

  • Starts at $7,000

The 1812 Farm is a year round setting for your event. Our unique mix of historic setting and unmatched level of catering quality, elegant surroundings and appointments appeals to the most discerning taste

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Natural elegance with open spaces
  • Dressing room available

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
Let me start by saying that having our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm was something I had dreamed of for 18 years, since I was only 10. My family and I would visit the Pemaquid Lighthouse every year growing up, and every year I would point out the car window and say “That’s where I want to have a wedding reception after getting married at the lighthouse!” Little did I know, I would eventually have that exact dream come true. My now husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm in September. From day one, the communication between us and the owners and event coordinator Olivia was punctual and incredibly helpful. From the thorough initial tour, to the food tasting where we were made to feel like royalty, to Olivia’s continual help with planning and the ultimate picture perfect wedding day, we were beyond pleased. Wedding planning would have been far more stressful without the calls with Olivia, a detailed shared Google document, and the fun 3D modeling software for the venue table setup. The catering was excellent- the food was delicious with perfectly tender meat and paired seasonings/sauces. The servers and bartenders were professional and friendly. The first thing that struck me on the wedding day was how gorgeous the grounds were, with a multitude of flowers and perfectly manicured lawns even towards the end of the summer! I also cannot say enough good things about their bridal suite. Getting ready in such a comfortable place with my loved ones was unexpectedly one of my favorite times of that day. The Farm also coordinated with our bluegrass band and other vendors efficiently to ensure the day went flawlessly. Thank you, the 1812 Farm, for helping us host a beautiful, classy, country wedding that couldn’t have been more perfect.
