Every Other Sunday
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Wayne, ME
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $4,800

Every Other Sunday is a versatile, nine-piece dance band from Maine. Specializing in wedding receptions and other functions. We pride ourselves on providing just the right mix of music to keep your guests entertained and dancing all night long. We can also provide traditional or modern ceremony and cocktail hour music. We customize each set with the perfect blend of rock, pop, funk, country and more. We also bring along our professional sound man to make sure the music is always at the perfect level. Want to chat over the music during cocktail hour but dance to some rockin' tunes during the reception? We've got you covered!

We recommend Every Other Sunday without hesitation. Tori and Mike performed as a duo during our ceremony and cocktail hour, learning specific songs for our ceremony. They sang so beautifully during our processional and recessional that there was not a dry eye in the house! Then the band grew to six members for our first dances, and the band learned two songs for those - perfectly executed. For the after dinner portion of our celebration, the band rocked out to variety of contemporary and classic dance tunes. They had the whole place jumping – literally, some of our guests were swinging from the beams…everyone had so much fun! Every Other Sunday is an extremely talented and versatile wedding band. Mike and Tori were easygoing and flexible yet very responsive to our email communications. They arrived super early the day of our wedding to get set up and everything they did was executed flawlessly. On a scale of one to 10, we give them a 10! You will be making a big mistake if you don’t consider Every Other Sunday for your wedding or special event. - Matt and Lou

The setting is magical without being precious. Woods, firepits, cabins, and a lodge that is super cozy. What truly sets Camp DeForest apart is the team. They team handled everything with an incredible eye for detail. Nothing felt rushed or unimportant. We felt supported and genuinely celebrated!

Revolution Summer Photography
Rating: 5.0 (48 reviews)
  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,600
  • Serves Wayne, ME

Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We all innately know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot say enough good things about Corey! As people who aren't always comfortable in front of the camera, we wanted to find a photographer who really captured the energy of the day beyond just the traditional portraits. Corey's documentary style was exactly what we were looking for - when we got the first pictures back, we couldn't stop smiling because he truly captured the emotion of the day perfectly. All we've talked about since our wedding is how much we want to relive that one perfect day, and Corey's photos are the way we can relive every step of it. Beyond the quality of his work, which speaks for itself, on the day of our wedding Corey was somehow everywhere, getting shots of everything, while blending into the fabric of the day so seamlessly. We feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with Corey - we have a beautiful memories to look back on thanks to him!

  • Florist

  • Serves Wayne, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

Anna Brooke is a wedding officiant, author, and healing arts practitioner based in Midcoast Maine. She offers vow renewals, premarital counseling, and is available for local and destination weddings. Fluent in English and French, Anna honors all paths with a warm, open-hearted approach.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Anna. From our very first conversation, she made us feel heard, valued, and genuinely excited about our ceremony. What truly set her apart was the amount of care and effort she put into getting to know us as a couple. She took the time to reach out not only to us, but also to our friends and family, gathering stories, memories, and details about our relationship that made our ceremony feel incredibly personal. Anna seamlessly wove those stories into the ceremony in a way that felt natural, heartfelt, and authentic. There were moments that made us laugh, moments that made us cry, and moments that perfectly captured who we are together. So many of our guests commented afterward on how beautiful, unique, and meaningful the ceremony was. Anna has a true gift for storytelling and creating a ceremony that reflects the couple standing in front of her. She made us feel comfortable, supported, and celebrated every step of the way. We are so grateful she was the one to marry us and help create one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day. We would recommend her wholeheartedly to any couple looking for an officiant who goes above and beyond.

  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
We are so happy we chose The 1812 Farm for our special day and would heartily and readily suggest it to anyone looking for a venue. I literally cannot sing their praises enough for how perfect they helped make our day. The 1812 Farm was the perfect venue for our July 2024 Wedding and we could not be happier with the experience we had working with Sarah, Olivia, and the larger team. The 1812's team is not only super responsive, but extremely helpful as a sounding board. Any questions we had were answered promptly, any ideas we wanted to float were approached thoughtfully, and this team truly lessened any kind of wedding planning stress. As for the venue itself, it was gorgeous. The flowers were in bloom in the garden where we had our ceremony and the inner venue where we had our reception was so well put together. The 1812 team set all my decorations up for me after I provided an example of what I was going for and that immediately lessened any day-of stress that morning. Both my husband's half of the party and my own had plenty of space to get ready separately in the Bristol Suite on site too, which was perfect. Having prep in the same place as ceremony and reception just streamlined our entire day. I also love that even when the lights were dimmed inside later in the night for dancing, there was still plenty of light to see and talk by and our guests adored the outdoor bar and thought it was super cute. The 1812 also uses Stone Cove Catering and we loved the ease of building out the menu with the same people we already were in contact with for the venue. It made everything so smooth and we knew there would be no confusion or fuss as meals were served because the caterers are the venue and know the routine and space. Once the party actually started after dinner, I had multiple guests come up to me to rave about how good dinner and cocktail hour apps were- literally so good that multiple people made comments about it right after eating. Can't ask for better than that. And my husband and I were beyond happy with our own meal and the post-ceremony oyster treat that Stone Cove Catering helped us plan for ourselves. If I were planning this wedding all over, I'd still pick the 1812!

Every weekend you'll find me oohing over a wedding dress, and holding my breath for the first moment the groom sees the bride. The wedding style I like the most is candid, but I definitely don't mind posing a nervous couple, or arranging that perfect artistic shot before the light changes. I am patient, calm, and encouraging... I think I get along with everyone... I'm like the nerdy extra bridesmaid with a really killer camera.

Sarah was an amazing photographer. She was friendly and excited for us all day. She did a good job of capturing intimate moments without invading our personal space. Sarah made sure to photograph everything we asked for, as well as to suggest other great shots that we are so glad to have now. She was getting ready to leave at the end of the night and noticed a special spot under a tree with twinkle lights. She came back into the reception to see if we wanted to get pictures there, and those are some of our favorites! Her photos look just like how we experienced the day, not overly edited. I know some couples wait weeks, if not months, to get their full gallery back. Sarah sent us the link to the gallery within 72 hours! We are so glad to have gotten to work with her.

When I found Penobscot Bay Estate in my endless spiral of Google searches, I knew it was exactly where I wanted to get married. We locked in immediately after our virtual tour. It captured our hearts as a peaceful, coastal, tented venue with stunning waterfront views and authentic Maine charm. Having full-weekend access to utilize the property made it feel like the ultimate getaway. I was asked several times by guests why we were making them travel so far, but the second they set foot onto the estate, they understood. There is a deeply personal, meaningful charm built into all the little details across the property. The onsite Speakeasy is absolutely incredible and served as the perfect backdrop for our welcome party the night before the wedding. Emerald, the owner, is so friendly, personable, and hands-on. You can truly tell she has poured herself and her family story into this magnificent venue. A special shoutout to their staff member, Dean, who worked his way into all of our hearts! He went above and beyond making sure everyone was comfortable and happy, even riding my nephews around on the golf cart. We will always have the fondest memories of our time at Penobscot Bay Estate, and our only sadness is that the weekend had to end! Photo cred Julie K Gray

I have a long history as a photographer, starting in my twenties with large format view cameras, publishing a book of black and white portraits of Newfoundlanders, studying under Ansel Adams at his Yosemite workshops, and with Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at the Rhode Island School of Design. Now, my cameras and equipment are all the latest digital models, but I still rely on my experience and a well trained eye for capturing the optimal moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
When my now husband and I first found BrightWorks photography, I was most happy with the attention to color and detail, as well as, the limited editing they seemed to use in their photography. Photographers I had previously been looking, before finding BrightWorks, seemed to place a haze, white cast, or “gloomy” filter on their photography, instead we wanted our photos to be genuine and timeless to last for a lifetime. The BrightWorks team, Stephen and Rebecca, not only photographed the important details of our day but the images captured the colors, fine details, and warm energy our guests brought to our wedding day. Little did I know when we booked BrightWorks that my husband and I would be blown away by the images we got from our engagement shoot and wedding. Weeks before our wedding, Steven and Rebecca took the time to put names to faces before our wedding date so they could just find our loved ones for pictures. Steven and Rebecca truly were the perfect team, they were flies on the wall the entire day and wedding guests said that they seemed to capture every precious moment of the day. We could not be more grateful for BrightWorks.

Our guests loved the Gibbonses. While we were planning, they paid attention to every detail – recording the pronunciation of the bridal party’s names and recommending adjustments to our trivia game. Aside from being a lot of fun, they also seem to really care. They were flexible with covid concerns and let me take as long as I needed to decide on them without a deposit. At the party, they brought the party. Funny and high energy all night, even with the unavoidable bumps and a surprise schedule change.

Aaron Snow is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Camden, Maine, offering photography service to all of New England. He has photographed nearly 400 weddings and events in 18 states over his 20 year professional career.

Aaron was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. We are beyond thrilled with the experience and photos. Aaron was so calm and he brought the best zen energy to both our engagement photo session and wedding. It was the perfect balance of giving direction and letting us move naturally through the shoot/day. We were nervous going in to our engagement photos and left feeling like we had so much fun. He made us feel so comfortable. The quality of his work was stunning and exactly what we were looking for- timeless and natural but elevated. He really captured the emotion of every moment. It was so fun looking through photos and seeing the essence of a family member or friend captured. And to boot, he was so low profile- I honestly don’t remember seeing him at all outside of our portraits but he was somehow everywhere capturing everyone and all the little details. Aaron was easy to work with, timely, and highly professional. We could not recommend more highly and are so appreciative of his work.

can’t recommend Flowers by Hoboken enough for all your flower needs. I got married in August 2024 in Bar Harbor, ME and choosing Flowers by Hoboken was one of the easiest decisions. Lisa made the process so easy and enjoyable. She looked at my inspiration through Pinterest, Instagram, and her own previous clients and put together a unique and beautifully thought out proposal. I ended up adding more flowers last minute and Lisa made it very easy to do so. She also sourced a lot of our flowers locally which was really special. Our flowers were better than we could have ever imagined. It was such a pleasure working with Lisa and her team for our wedding flowers and I would recommend them over and over again. The space itself is stunning and rich with history - a true Midcoast Maine gem. We cannot recommend them enough! Be sure to check them out on IG @boothbayplayhouseevents for more information! If you choose to have your event here, I guarantee you will have an incredible experience just like we did.

Eastern River Farm

  • Florist

We are a regenerative specialty cut flower farm in Pittston, ME, about an hour north of Portland and 20 minutes south east of Augusta. We grow, harvest and arrange all our own flowers and foliage right here on our family farm using zero harmful chemicals. We are foam-free and work with Mother Nature to provide seasonal blooms for the highest quality wedding design.

Jennifer was a pleasure to work with from day one and you can tell she cares about the quality of her work even after it leaves her farm. She was so attentive to hearing my ideas for wedding bouquets, and was able to grow flowers specifically to meet the colors/vibes I was hoping for. I selected her a-la-cart florist services, and received bouquets, corsages/buttoners, and 2 large statement pieces for the altar. They all brought the color pallet of the wedding together in a cohesive way. I was absolutely stunned by the colors and creativity of my bridal bouquet especially. She provided clear instructions for pickup and preservation and I really feel I got the best life out of my flowers by following her instructions. As a bride conscientious of prices, I appreciated that she was willing to work within any budget without some absurd minimum order amount that I’ve seen from some wedding florists. I would recommend her as your wedding florist without hesitation!
