I was born and partially raised in Southern California. After a few years + an exceptionally long cross country road trip - my parents decided to move us to the east coast. We've been complaining about the beaches ever since. My sister was always the artistic one. She sold her first piece while she was still in middle school, it took me a lot longer to figure out what I wanted to do. When I started doing photography - I honestly didn't realize how much I'd love it. It's not just about the lighting, filter, or the pursuit of the perfect Instagram feed. Sometimes it means going into the ocean to get the perfect shot.

I’m SO satisfied with our experience booking with George Street! I was drawn to them because I thought they were more reasonably priced compared to what some individual photographers are charging these days (we’re in the Seattle market), but I didn’t feel like the price advantage came at a sacrifice of quality. I loved the photos our photographer John C. took (who was AMAZING!) for both our engagement/portrait session and of course the photos on the day of the wedding. He did a fantastic job capturing all the beautiful memories we made that day, and we are so grateful. The booking process was really simple, too—I arranged a meeting with one of their sales reps (Amber) who did an excellent job explaining exactly how their company works, the packages available, how to choose your photographer and so on. Once we booked with them, we were given access to an online portal to put in all the necessary info that would be passed along to the photographer. One thing I would say is that because you are contracting with a company and not the individual photographer, you aren’t able to communicate directly with the photographer very often. You really are hiring them for photography only, so collaborating with them on the event timeline and other details is not really an option. Any questions you have generally need to be sent via the wedding coordinators at George Street, as you won’t even receive your photographer’s email or phone number until you actually meet them (it’s possible this is not the case for everyone, but just our experience). To be clear, this was NOT an issue for us at all, but just something to be aware of if a more hands-on photographer that can help with coordination and planning is really what you’re looking for.

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We used Something Borrowed Blooms for part of our ceremony and reception florals, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! We chose the Jane collection floral meadows and added in some real colorful stems to match our theme—and the result was absolutely stunning. You would never know the base florals were faux! The entire process was incredibly seamless. Receiving, setting up, and returning the flowers was so much easier than I ever expected. Everything arrived beautifully packaged and ready to go, and it made decorating our space so stress-free. For any brides considering faux florals—do it! This was such an affordable, elegant, and easy option. I would highly, highly recommend Something Borrowed Blooms to anyone looking for gorgeous florals without the fuss.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Tuxedo Park, NY

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!

Marilyn Lamanna Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,000
  • Serves Tuxedo Park, NY

Hey there! My name is Marilyn. I live in New York City with my sweet partner, and our orange cat Maple. I’m an introverted, soft-hearted mush with an insatiable need to document the beauty in life. Practicing self-portraits in middle school eventually led me to pursue my photography degree from New York University, and I have been joyfully creating photos of wedding days ever since. To me, weddings are a magical display of the human spirit. It’s my biggest honor and joy to create imagery that captures that human magic - especially in a way that breaks the boundaries of historically gendered traditions.

Awarded Best of Zola
Wow WOW!! We are beyond grateful to Marilyn for capturing our joint proposal so beautifully! As a queer couple, we haven’t always had positive experiences feeling fully seen and comfortable during special moments. However, she was truly incredible. From the very start, she made us feel safe, respected, and completely at ease, allowing us to be our true selves. Marilyn's warmth and professionalism ensured that we could fully enjoy the moment, and it shows in the absolutely STUNNING photos she created. Every image reflects the love and joy we felt that day, and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Thank you for preserving these memories so perfectly and making it a lovely experience.

Fountainhead Floral Design

  • Florist
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Tuxedo Park, NY

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Our wedding was held at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in June 2024. Kate was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our floral vision to life! I appreciated her free excel planning tools and how responsive she was from our first inquiry. After our first phone call, I realized that she is incredibly easy-going and down to earth, in addition to being well-organized. These are qualities you want in your wedding vendors. I have always loved florals and she helped me craft a vision that stayed within our budget. Our theme was coastal vineyard - I wanted the vibe to be loose & romantic without veering too rustic. She found this balance perfectly! On our wedding day, she arrived early and took care of everything quietly without a hitch! I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend Fountainhead Floral enough!

Matt through Enchanted Celebrations really exceeded our expectations. He was a blast to have around, he hyped us up, picked the perfect ways to capture our special day, and overall kept us on track throughout the day. We were so happy with working with him, and everyone at the event has commented on how great the photographer was throughout the event. After getting our photos FOUR DAYS after the wedding, we could not be more pleased! The turnaround on the edited photos was unreal, and the fully edited ones that we received exactly matched our desired look (dark and moody). We loved the way he captured us, our energy and the way that we interacted with each other throughout the day. He really caught "us" in the pictures and we'll cherish these photos forever. Big thanks to Matt and Enchanted Celebration!

My husband and I got married on 6/15/2024. I handled majority of our wedding planning, but as an OCD bride, my biggest anxiety was not being able to be hands on for the day of our wedding. Everyone was telling me that as the bride I had to enjoy my wedding day, but all I could think about was “I need to make sure everything goes exactly the way I’ve been planning it for the last year and a half”. That’s when I knew I needed a day of coordinator. I came across Star Rose Creations and I’m SO happy that I did. Miranda and Kylie are absolutely gems!! They are both so professional, caring, and understanding. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. From the initial meeting, to creating timelines for the day of, to making sure that everything was setup the way my floor plan showed, to handling the vendors, to making sure we kept on schedule for the ceremony and reception… I mean they handled it all! And most importantly, they kept me smiling which helped to keep my tears at bay on the happiest day of my life! I can’t tell you how happy I was to have them both there on our wedding day! Even our bridal party talked about them after our wedding and how impressed they were that Miranda and Kylie were so attentive to my husband and I. Trust me, if you book with Star Rose Creations you won’t be disappointed!!
