“When my husband and I started looking for a photographer for our wedding, we determined early on that we wanted someone who was professional, down-to-earth, easy to work with, and great at what they do. We also specifically wanted timeless, effortless, and natural photos. After speaking to about 5 photographers and not feeling like we found our match, we came across Rich’s work. We immediately fell in love with his photojournalistic approach, his timeless work, and the way in which he captured the raw, authentic, and genuine parts of a wedding day. After our first conversation with Rich, it was clear that we found the photographer we were hoping to find! Rich is not only incredible at what he does behind the camera, but he is also a wonderful person to the core. It was clear that Rich genuinely cares about his couples and wants to do everything he can to make them feel beautiful, comfortable, and happy. Communicating with Rich was easy and stress free. He responded to each email with enthusiasm and professionalism. He never made me feel like I was a bother or that I was asking too many questions, which meant so much to me as a bride. He helped us plan everything from our wedding day to our engagement shoot, offered his opinions on locations, and followed up with us the week leading up to our engagement shoot it as the weather was not looking great! “I had the most beautiful bouquet for my City Hall civil ceremony, but no firm plans for the bouquet post-wedding. My florist friend shared Jackie's contact information with me and I contacted her to see if she had the capacity for a last-minute bouquet preservation. Luckily, she had availability and a few hours later, I was taking an impromptu day trip to Cold Spring with my husband. Jackie met us at the station and was so incredibly kind. She gave us a few suggestions of eateries to check out while we were in town. We had a symbolic ceremony a week later and I was so pleased with the service received with my first bouquet, that I asked Jackie to preserve that bouquet as well. Throughout both bouquet preservations, Jackie was very responsive and answered any questions I had. She shared a layout of both bouquets prior to framing and packaged up both frames nicely, with bags, (this is a big deal when you're taking the train) when we returned to Cold Spring for pickup. Now I'm living my childhood dream of being a florist—a pressed flower florist, that is! My first pressed bouquet was a wedding gift to my sister in 2020. Five years later, I'm surrounded by the most lovely team of close friends, working to preserve memories for clients nationwide.
