Welcome! My name is Joanne, I'm a cake baker/ designer based in the Quad Cities IA. In-home confectionary business... wedding and all events cakes are my specialties. At Baked with Grace, I create handcrafted buttercream floral cupcakes, custom sugar cookies, and elegant wedding desserts that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Each treat is baked from scratch and piped with love, perfect for garden parties, elegant receptions, or rustic celebrations. Based in Iowa, I serve Cedar Rapids, Anamosa, and surrounding areas with delivery and event setup available. My desserts are designed to make your wedding day sweeter, more personal, and truly unforgettable.

I got my start many years ago when I was living back home in Chicago, at a cute little bakery, that I still visit to this day! I went back and forth between working in graphic design to cooking and baking. I started working in the bakery at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center as a part-time line cook in 2013 and in 2015 a became their in-house cake designer. In 2019 I decided to leave my position at the hotel and opened Sugar Flower Cake Design. I love seeing the joy when my clients cut into their cake and take their first bite - it makes life much sweeter! - Jennifer Smith

We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

I was born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and a recent grad of the University of Iowa. My love for all things food doesn’t have a starting point, it has always been part of my life. I started The Bun Bar in hopes of sharing my love of baking with others. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing happy customers and bringing people together to enjoy a sweet treat!
