Topu Lyo and Randy Bergida began performing together in 1999 when their friends and siblings started getting married. With each event came many personal requests for music and they discovered their knack for arranging any type of song and founded the cornerstone of New York Ceremony Music with their custom arrangements on cello and guitar. They have been collaborating in their musical endeavors for 20 years and now they have a diverse, ever-growing repertoire ranging from The Beatles to Fleet Foxes, Elliot Smith to The National, Depeche Mode to Django Reinhardt and everything in between.

Based in Staten Island, New York, Cause and The Effects is an enthusiastic band comprised of young musical professionals ready to perform at your wedding. The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion.
