Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
Oklahoma City, OK
  • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We chose Flower Moxie for our wedding flowers and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Their DIY flower packages made it easy for us to create the exact look we wanted without the stress, and the blooms arrived in great condition with clear instructions on how to arrange them. The quality was outstanding – the colors were vibrant and almost everything stayed fresh throughout our wedding day. We saved a ton of money compared to hiring a traditional florist, but honestly, you wouldn't know it from looking at our photos. We'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for beautiful flowers without breaking the bank.

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (77 reviews)
Biglerville, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha is the most creative, talented and kind human ever! It was an absolute joy working with Misha. I am so so grateful we found her both because her florals were beyond stunning and because she took such good care of us! In terms of floral design- Misha is nothing short of a creative genius. This is not an exaggeration. I’m truly stunned by how incredibly unique each of her weddings are. She took the time to really get to know us and figure out exactly what we wanted- even what we didn’t even know we wanted. I gave her minimal direction and was completely stunned by how she managed to produce even more than what I could have imagined. I wanted something bright, colorful and unique with lots of personality and life. She provided the most beautiful, colorful and lush florals I’ve ever seen. Also, I am pretty sure that Misha provided even more florals than I paid for just out of her own kindness and generosity. There were so many unique flowers and every stem seemed intentionally hand-selected and placed. We got SO many compliments on our florals! Now onto Misha herself - it’s such a gift that such a talented person also happens to be one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Misha is a trained social worker and it shows. Misha doesn’t just provide a service, she nurtures relationships. She was very understanding and respectful about working within our budget - these conversations never felt awkward with Misha. She is also so thorough and on top of it- you will be getting updates, regular check-in calls - she makes you feel like you have her full attention and energy even though she has tons of clients and weddings! You are not just paying for one day of flowers (even though they themselves would be worth it!) - you are getting endless hours of her time, creativity, design work and collaboration. Working with Misha was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding and I could not recommend her more highly. I would not hesitate for a second to reach out if even a part of you is interested or curious about working with her!

Poppy Flowers was a great choice for our wedding flowers because they worked well trying to fit our budget and gave us flexibility with our flowers. Their communication was primarily virtual which was challenging at times. Outside of our first Zoom meeting, we had to communicate using their platform which could have been more efficient. Outside of the Poppy Flowers platform, our florist Dara Cordova did an amazing job. The quality of her work was excellent - she matched our vision for the flowers perfectly. The bouquets they created were absolutely stunning, encompassing all the flower profiles and colors we had discussed. Our guests had many compliments on how beautiful the flowers looked and how well they fit the overall style and aesthetic of our wedding day. Our only hiccup was when we were told we could flip our flowers from our wedding ceremony to reception area (we had different locations) but two weeks prior, we were told that they would not transport flowers from our ceremony to reception so we had to cut down and have our planner relocate the flowers for us. We wish communication would have been more clear. It was an added stress so close to the wedding. Overall. Poppy Flowers provided great value and delivered well-executed floral arrangements that truly brought our wedding vision to life on a budget.

Becky was so wonderful to work with. When I reached out to her, she was always prompt in responding, in one form or another. We worked together over phone call to hone in on my vision, and we kept open communication to verify details. When it came down to it, Becky delivered and setup the arrangements beautifully. I appreciated the use of faux flowers to minimize waste and to limit after-event effort. She offered to pick up the live flowers afterward as well, which I declined and now have decorating every room in my house. Thank you, Becky, for the flawless, enjoyable experience working with you. I will miss you!!!

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.

Jonathan and Faulks Floral Co are seriously heaven sent. Jon is SO talented. Faulks was recommended by a personal friend. I love the call & consultation for the inspo look of the wedding. He really listens and considers your dream vision. After the consultation, he provides the type of florals and the inspo look altogether, which is SO helpful. I wanted spring, pops of color. I also desired to include my love for the ocean into my wedding. How do you combine all those elements to a ranch wedding? A rustic coastal wedding! Touches of beautiful driftwood with floral for the reception tables, my cascading bouquet, my arch, EVERYTHING with all the details are extroadinary. It was my dream come true. I also appreciate that he is open and more than comfortable to customize his services to your budget! Very flexible. It is a joy to keep these pieces from my wedding forever. Faulks Floral Co is a hidden gem of southern California, very memorable vendor. The kindest and most artistic guy! Candy and her husband Gio turned our wedding vision into reality with such kindness and promptness. Vendors can lag when responding, but Candy always got back to as soon as she could which was so important to us. On top of that any picture I would send her for florals, she would easily be able to recreate for us or help us adjust it to better fit our vision. When I set up my initial meeting with them, Gio on the spot created an example of what he could do for my centerpieces and explained what different flowers meant in the bouquet, it was lovely. He was also very open to hearing my opinions and would tweak the centerpieces based on my feed back. Gio explained that he comes from several generations of florist and he would help his mother create arrangements growing up, and those years of experience show in his work. The day of the wedding, my husband and I were so blown away of what they created for us. We got so many compliments about the flowers and the guests loved taking home the table centerpieces. My MIL even took home 5 centerpieces. I cannot praise this couple enough for the amazing job they did.

Laura was amazing - everyone raved about the arrangements, especially at the sweetheart table. I don’ t know anything about flowers and was pretty overwhelmed with choices. We also had a pretty small wedding party. I was in ivory and my wedding party was in mostly black. The only color came from my husband’s suit. My dress was also super simple so the flowers brought dimension to the larger look. I sent Laura a few pictures of arrangements I liked and arrangements I didn’t like and she totally ran with it knocking it out of the park. She’s also worked with our venue quite a bit, making coordinating the logistics easy. We highly recommend Laura!

Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

            About wedding florists

How much do wedding bouquets cost?

Wedding bouquets vary in cost by bouquet size, quantity and density of blooms, season, and flower type. Your wedding location and cost of living will also have an impact. In general, you can expect to pay $200–$400 for a larger main bouquet, and $100–$250 for smaller wedding party bouquets. Communicate openly with your florist about your budget and vision—colors and inspirational photos are often more helpful to your florist than specific types of flowers.

How can we save money on our wedding flowers?

Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. Talk openly with your florist about the look you want to achieve, rather than specific flowers you want. They can suggest flower species and options to make your vision happen in a way that fits your budget.
