Cherished Events and Catering is a family-owned, full-service catering company led by owner and chef Cherish LaCook. With over 10 years of experience, we specialize in creating custom menus and memorable dining experiences for weddings and special events. We take pride in working with dietary restrictions and preferences, and we never use food dyes or hydrogenated oils. Every dish is made from scratch with care, because if we wouldn’t serve it to our own family, we won’t serve it to yours. Our goal is to make every event stress-free, meaningful, and truly cherished.

What started with one small cart and an idea to serve up something new to East Texas is now flourishing into so many different avenues! Growing up I have always been a person whose enjoyed great food. My aunt would always take me to 5-star restaurants in Beverly Hills. I never thought I would turn out to be a great cook, but my friends always seems to enjoy it. I met my husband in college and he played football, his favorite thing in the world was food. We now have three children and my favorite pass time is creating a great cuisine full of flavor. Growing up in California by way of Louisiana, Mexican, Soul Food, and Southern Cuisine are my most valued dishes.
