Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (94 reviews)
Oklahoma City, OK
  • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie was an incredible experience from start to finish. The flowers arrived without any issues, and we had almost a 0% loss of flowers (which is unheard of). The tutorials helped me feel so ready to assemble my own bouquets and our self-assembly not only was SO FUN to do with my bridesmaids, but saved us SO MUCH money!!! I would recommend this to anyone who loves fresh flowers :)

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
Biglerville, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

From the moment I said yes, I knew florals would be the highlight of decor for our wedding day. Flowers hold such sentimental value for me because I’d spend my springs planting hundreds of annuals with my baba: zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, marigolds, begonias, etc. Going to my grandparents house was like going to a magical flower garden, and I wanted to recreate that feeling for our guests. After seeing Misha’s previous floral designs, I knew she would be able to bring what I had in mind to life; she did that and then some. The florals she lined my aisle with were exactly what I pictured: lush, whimsical, fun and filled with purples, oranges and greens. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. On our way to the tent, we were amazed at the flowers on the seating chart wall. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Our reception tent really felt like a magical flower garden filled with our favorite people; exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

The setup and overall design was absolutely beautiful - especially our ceremony arch! I would highly recommend Fountainhead Floral Design to any couple looking for a reliable, talented, and customer-focused wedding florist!

Initially I was drawn in by Angelle’s colorful arrangements on her Instagram and so I decided to contact her and set up a meeting. Once we talked, I knew she was a florist who cared about her clients and their visions. She is genuinely one of the sweetest vendors we had at our wedding, hands down! She was very responsive to any questions or messages my husband and I had. She made quick accommodations for us (if we needed a flower basket or to add detail photos, she was there to do it). Really, if you want to feel like you are taken care of on your wedding day, Angelle will do that for you. On top of all of this, the florals itself were more than anything we could have ever hoped for. They were stunning. Honestly, one of my favorite parts about our wedding. People still compliment me on the florals were. With that being said, you should really check out her instagram because she has some of the most AMAZING and UNIQUE florals I have seen. I love everything she has posted so far. I can tell how much love goes into each of her floral designs. I promise you that you will be in safe hands and you would be missing out on a great experience if you did not go with Angelle!

Candy and her husband Gio turned our wedding vision into reality with such kindness and promptness. Vendors can lag when responding, but Candy always got back to as soon as she could which was so important to us. On top of that any picture I would send her for florals, she would easily be able to recreate for us or help us adjust it to better fit our vision. When I set up my initial meeting with them, Gio on the spot created an example of what he could do for my centerpieces and explained what different flowers meant in the bouquet, it was lovely. He was also very open to hearing my opinions and would tweak the centerpieces based on my feed back. Gio explained that he comes from several generations of florist and he would help his mother create arrangements growing up, and those years of experience show in his work. The day of the wedding, my husband and I were so blown away of what they created for us. We got so many compliments about the flowers and the guests loved taking home the table centerpieces. My MIL even took home 5 centerpieces. I cannot praise this couple enough for the amazing job they did.

The colors, the textures, the style, the vibe she created… it was all stunning! She brought it to life with so much care. What I appreciated most was how easy she made everything for me. Working with Julia felt low lift and stress free. I always felt taken care of and never worried about a thing. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She is talented, warm, and genuinely wonderful to work with.

Brittany is so talented and did such a stunning job with our wedding florals!! I had a very vague vision going into floral planning, and Brittany took the very few inspiration pics I provided and ran with it! She was so communicative and attentive to several ad hoc changes and requests. Brittany created bouquets/displays that were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! She was intentional about helping select flowers that would match our theme and make sure our pictures looked magical, but would last in the summer heat. Our guests could not stop complementing them, even days after the wedding!!! We couldn’t be happier and are so excited to recommend Brittany to future brides!!!

              About wedding florists

How much do wedding bouquets cost?

Wedding bouquets vary in cost by bouquet size, quantity and density of blooms, season, and flower type. Your wedding location and cost of living will also have an impact. In general, you can expect to pay $200–$400 for a larger main bouquet, and $100–$250 for smaller wedding party bouquets. Communicate openly with your florist about your budget and vision—colors and inspirational photos are often more helpful to your florist than specific types of flowers.

How can we save money on our wedding flowers?

Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. Talk openly with your florist about the look you want to achieve, rather than specific flowers you want. They can suggest flower species and options to make your vision happen in a way that fits your budget.
