Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (96 reviews)
Oklahoma City, OK
  • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Flower Moxie - Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers provided amazing and quick communication throughout the process. The flowers arrived beautifully and they provided plenty of instructions to help keep them looking their best. While I ended up ordering way too much due to not making as many arrangements as I had anticipated, the blue flowers they provided were absolutely stunning and really contributed to the beautiful floral design and color palette on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Flower Moxie to any couple looking for a reliable and high-quality DIY wedding florals option.

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
Biglerville, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

From the moment I said yes, I knew florals would be the highlight of decor for our wedding day. Flowers hold such sentimental value for me because I’d spend my springs planting hundreds of annuals with my baba: zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, marigolds, begonias, etc. Going to my grandparents house was like going to a magical flower garden, and I wanted to recreate that feeling for our guests. After seeing Misha’s previous floral designs, I knew she would be able to bring what I had in mind to life; she did that and then some. The florals she lined my aisle with were exactly what I pictured: lush, whimsical, fun and filled with purples, oranges and greens. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. On our way to the tent, we were amazed at the flowers on the seating chart wall. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Our reception tent really felt like a magical flower garden filled with our favorite people; exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.

Working with Regan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She made the planning process feel easy with her kindness and genuine excitement to bring our vision to life. She came up with design ideas that added an extra level of sophistication to our wedding while still making it feel completely like us, and transformed our venue into something that looked like it belonged in a magazine. Our florals were absolutely STUNNING on our wedding day. Really cannot say enough positive things about working with F4D and Drew - but I will try!!! We had color schemes in mind, but after our first meeting with Drew he really brought a lovely vision to fruition! We put all of our trust in him, and he is so good at what he does. The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Our wedding was held at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in June 2024. Kate was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our floral vision to life! I appreciated her free excel planning tools and how responsive she was from our first inquiry. After our first phone call, I realized that she is incredibly easy-going and down to earth, in addition to being well-organized. These are qualities you want in your wedding vendors. I have always loved florals and she helped me craft a vision that stayed within our budget. Our theme was coastal vineyard - I wanted the vibe to be loose & romantic without veering too rustic. She found this balance perfectly! On our wedding day, she arrived early and took care of everything quietly without a hitch! I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend Fountainhead Floral enough!

Working with Brittany from Bloom by Britt was honestly one of the best parts of planning our wedding. Out of all our vendors, she was easily my favorite. From the start, she just got it. My now husband and I can barely name more than a few flowers between the two of us, but Brittany guided us through everything and really took the time to understand our likes and dislikes without ever pushing us in a direction that did not feel like us. Brittany even took time out of her work day and traveled to come tour our venue with us to make sure she could fully execute the vision. That level of care made us feel so confident in her from the beginning. I also changed my mind on details, added things last minute, and probably was not the easiest client, but she handled everything with so much patience and flexibility. She was transparent and fair with pricing, which I appreciated so much going into this knowing basically nothing about florals. On the wedding day, everything came out beautifully and felt even better than I imagined. We got so many compliments. Beyond her talent, Brittany was just an amazing person to work with. Kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making everything perfect. I would recommend Bloombybritt to anyone without hesitation, and I already know I will be using her again for future milestones and events. Thank you for everything, Brittany!! You helped make our day even more special.

Working with Mitali was an absolute delight! All of our calls were incredibly structured and organized. Aria was lovely to work with throughout the entire planning process. We wanted to keep our flower arrangements relatively simple since our venue had incredible city skyline views. Aria did an fabulous job of selecting beautiful and unique blooms for the bouquets, boutonnières, tables, and of course the stunning arch for the ceremony. Aria was very professional (and most importantly discrete!) while working with the bride to coordinate the flowers with a floral gown without letting on about the dress design to the groom.

We were completely satisfied with our florals from Bella Rosa, we wanted simple and elegant florals with white carnations and baby’s breath. Our centerpieces were delivered on time and they were fresh and beautiful. The size was perfect, we were recommended to size up during our talks for our table sizes and we are so glad we listened as our previous sizes for centerpieces would’ve been way too small. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

We could not have had a better experience working with a florist and day of coordinator. Tiara from Fiddlestix was extremely responsive feom the start, mindful of our budget, and supportive leading up to our wedding. She always made it seem like our questions were valid and always made an effort to respond to them right away. FLORALS: When it came to the florals, when she had the opportunity to get a discount from a supplier of hers, instead of holding onto the difference, she passed along the discount to us when we firmed up choices early. I shared inspiration photos and trusted her with the flower selections and she beyond delivered. She was patient with changes I made in order to better fit my budget, and on the day of my wedding, I was blown away by the beautiful arrangements she made. My wedding was garden party themed so the flowers were extremely important to bringing my vision to life and Tiara beyond delivered on that. COORDINATION: Working with Tiara for this was by far one of the best wedding investments we made. She had calls with us to prepare us for the big day and make sure we were on the right track planning-wise. She helped us find day of rentals as well for a very reasonable price. She helped communicate with our vendors the month of our wedding to minimize the burden on us and make sure all our vendors were on the same page. On the day, she made sure all our decorations were beautifully set up, make sure everything went smoothly, ensured our guests were having a seamless experience, and that everything was packed up and ready to go by the time the event had to be over. We feel so lucky and grateful to have had Fiddlestix help us execute our dream wedding. Thank you!

Hi! My name is Andrea and I'm the owner and lead designer here at The Flower Petal! I've been in this industry for about 8 years and I absolutely love what I do. I would describe my design style as loose/organic with a mix of whimsical and romantic. I LOVE color and getting the chance to work with more unique color palettes is my absolute favorite thing!

The Flower Petal was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding flowers and decor. Andrea's communication style made the entire process smooth and enjoyable - she was responsive, detail-oriented, and reassuring that everything would turn out beautifully, which it absolutely did. The quality and attention to detail with every bouquet, boutonniere, floral arrangement, and decor piece was perfect down to the last petal. Andrea and her talented team took on the huge task of handling the majority of the floral decor for our large wedding party and guest count. The end results were jaw-droppingly gorgeous statements. From the bouquets to the arch to the aisle flowers to the centerpieces, Andrea brought our vision to life flawlessly. Every piece perfectly complemented our color scheme and style. All of our guests were raving over the flowers and decor. I cannot recommend The Flower Petal highly enough for any bride in need of a florist who will make your wedding flowers picture-perfect.

              About wedding florists

How much do wedding bouquets cost?

Wedding bouquets vary in cost by bouquet size, quantity and density of blooms, season, and flower type. Your wedding location and cost of living will also have an impact. In general, you can expect to pay $200–$400 for a larger main bouquet, and $100–$250 for smaller wedding party bouquets. Communicate openly with your florist about your budget and vision—colors and inspirational photos are often more helpful to your florist than specific types of flowers.

How can we save money on our wedding flowers?

Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. Talk openly with your florist about the look you want to achieve, rather than specific flowers you want. They can suggest flower species and options to make your vision happen in a way that fits your budget.
