In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Our main event space, the Waiting Room, boasts an intricately detailed vaulted ceiling and polished marble floors. Union Depot has furniture to accommodate up to 600 guests and the space to accommodate 1,000+ guests. Looking to have a smaller wedding? Midland Hills Country Club was founded in the Roaring Twenties by University of Minnesota professors and local leaders seeking to expand their love of golf. Designed by renowned architect Seth Raynor, the course quickly became known for its rolling hills and challenging layout. In 2020, a full restoration by architect Jim Urbina revived Raynor’s Classic Golf Course Architecture, enhancing the course’s playability and charm. The Grand Banquet Hall is located just a couple blocks from the St. Croix River in historic downtown Stillwater, MN! Originally a part of the logging days that Stillwater was established for. Our ballroom features beautiful stained glass décor, space for up to 350 guests, a generous dance floor and a long stunning antique bar.
