Located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, The Art Room is a 4,000 square foot, modern industrial event space. Its rustic yet refined feel makes this space the perfect venue for your special occasion. The Art Room was born in Fall 2019 on the concept of creating an event space with the juxtaposition of industrial and fine arts. After seeing the rustic space, we started renovations right away. Given the timing of opening our space, we, like many others, were halted due to COVD-19. Beginning in the Spring of 2021 we were able to resume hosting events and honing in on the original concept of a versatile event venue partnered with a fine arts gallery.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 135 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 260 guests.

Alla Famiglia was started in 1997. Another fine Italian restaurant created from the mind of David Ayn. In 2005, Ayn approached a young & ambitious chef Jonathan Vlasic to purchase the 8-table restaurant from him. Mr. Vlasic was a perfect fit to receive the baton and move the restaurant into a new future. Alla Famiglia has evolved into a restaurant which is a representation of the years of formal culinary training of Mr.Vlasic and his family of Roman&Emilia descent. The result was an eatery of superior quality with disciplined technique, vivid imagination, and passion for perfection. Through the next 14 years, the restaurant evolves, expands and stretches its footprint to accommodate its increasing popularity and growing demand. In 2014, Mr. Vlasic decides to purchase the property adjacent to the restaurant and bring his vision to a full circle. “Il Teatro” is born in the winter of 2017.
