The Woman’s Club of Evanston is an ideal setting for your most special occasion. Our historic Clubhouse, built in 1912, exudes warmth and timeless elegance. On the first floor, the lovely Tea Room with sparkling chandeliers flows into the Music Room with one of our grand pianos. The Sun Porch can be used as a wedding suite or additional seating during cocktail hour, providing multiple settings for your friends and family to enjoy. The double staircase off the marble foyer leads to the dramatic Grand Ballroom, the perfect place for dinner and dancing. The Woman’s Club allows you to select a caterer from our broad list with various price ranges to accommodate your budget. Our caterers are very familiar with the Clubhouse assuring your event will run smoothly. Dinnerware, tables, chairs and other equipment needed to host your wedding are included.

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

The Funderburg House is a unique and historic venue that allows you to completely immersive. This 3-story, 1906 mansion is sure to keep your guests talking. It is a romantic spot that is perfect for any happy couple to celebrate their big day!

The District is located in the historic memorial hall in downtown Richmond, IL. With is soaring wood ceiling and original brick walls, The District, built in 1907, combines classic American architecture with modern touches. A covered outdoor patio and private alley provide an outdoor oasis for a cocktail hour, small ceremony, or extension of the party.

Meyer's Castle is a world class historic landmark set on a hill surrounded by beautiful manicured rolling gardens. The wonderful blend of polished elegance in a natural setting offers an exciting scenic departure from ordinary alternatives. Located only 35 minutes away from downtown Chicago, the estate's smallest room can host a minimum of 30 guests, while the largest ballroom can accommodate up to 350.

Cantigny Park & Golf is the perfect setting to create a unique and memorable wedding that will leave a lasting impression on you and your guests. Naper Settlement is a charming wedding ceremony and reception venue located in Naperville, Illinois. The 13-acre outdoor history museum includes a variety of beautiful ceremony and reception spaces surrounded by lush gardens and unique architecture. Just minutes from Downtown Naperville and the Naperville Riverwalk, this venue is a 40-minute drive from downtown Chicago. The Ellwood House Museum is an historic estate that offers three unique rental spaces on ten acres of gardens and grounds. These include the first floor and terraces of elegant Ellcourt, an historic Tudar Revival house built in 1899. It is available from March through mid-November and is our only venue where alcohol service is permissible. Ellcourt has an hourly rate of $350. The grounds also offer a choice of three garden spaces for wedding ceremonies. Garden rentals are available mid-May to mid-October and include an inclement weather backup location in the Hearthside Room of the Visitor Center. The rental rate is a flat fee of $500. The third venue is our more casual space, the Hearthside Room, which includes access to the galleries. It is available March through mid-November, and the rental rate is $75 per hour. All venues are limited to 80 people, and both indoor venues have full kitchens.

The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association's beautiful Oak Park Landmark building has served the surrounding communities since its construction in 1928. The Classical Revival 2-story building exudes historical charm and inspiring awe for every guest. The Nineteenth Century offers multiple event spaces to fit your needs, with hanging chandeliers, a full stage, original hardwood floors, and a lofty ceiling. The Margaret Houck Ballroom is a beautiful and refined space for your ceremony and reception. Windows line both sides of the ballroom giving you plenty of natural light, casting an iridescent glow over the hardwood floors. From small to medium sized parties, consider the South Dining Room or the North Dining Room. Cozy yet elegant, these two rooms offer the perfect atmosphere.
