I started Discoboxx in 2022 to bring a more stylish and tasteful approach to weddings and events in North Carolina. For ten years, I was fortunate to help grow two of the biggest and most successful DJ collectives in Los Angeles, DJing hundreds of weddings and playing at the most stunning event venues and nightlife spots. When my family decided to move to Raleigh, I knew I would have the opportunity to create a new experience for clients in The Tar Heel State looking for something different. Catrese Green (West) got her pseudonym from her grandmother who nicknamed her “Minnesota Fats” because she was a chubby baby. The nickname was shortened to Mini and has stuck with her over the years. Miss Mini began singing with her father in a Top 40 band called “Electric Image” in 1990. She now has her own band that performs her original music as well as cover tunes. She has been touring throughout Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
