I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.

My favorite city to visit is New Orleans, and I love to travel and shoot destination weddings, elopements, and more all over the world. ​ I have always loved being behind a camera. I begged to use my dad's camera when I was a kid, I filled disposable cameras in the 90's, and I chased around my kids, their friends, and all my nieces and nephews with a camera, practiced posing and editing whenever I had the chance. I grew up in New Orleans, but moved to Bay St. Louis when I was young. This is when I began to appreciate nature and all its intricate details. It followed shortly after that I would purchase my first camera, a Nikon N60. I immediately fell in love with photography. I just had to capture all the intriguing tiny things I saw, and that was 20 years ago. I also volunteer at The Humane Society of Southern Mississippi photographing their dogs and cats.
