The land that The Barn at Rock Creek is situated on was once the Dixie Evans farm owned and operated by the Henry family. It came to belong to the Ward family circa 1970 when Robert G. Ward, father of Mary Ward Padgett, bought the land and continued the tradition of farming soybeans and corn until 2012.

As you step through the original famous haint blue double doors, the venue welcomes you with an elegant all white interior. Saint Thomas was the first Catholic church in Wilmington, built in 1847. Although no longer a church, this beautifully-restored venue in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington is listed on the National Historic Register. Our exposed brick walls, gorgeous stained glass windows, high ceilings and upper balcony make Saint Thomas a perfect backdrop for your wedding.
