1010 West

5.0

Orlando, FL
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $3,000

Today, nestled behind this early 1900's storefront, (we left the outside just the way we found it), you'll find Orlando's most unique event space imaginable. Some are calling it "The Hidden Hanger" and others, "The Speakeasy". We just call it 1010 WEST. Step through the old metal gates and you'll discover the rustic and industrial, yet warm environment of a space revitalized from a turn of the century airplane hangar. Speakeasies may no longer be illegal, but their hard-to-find entrances gives a sense of exhilaration when walking down a dimly lit alleyway and passing through nondescript gates into a subterranean world of tinkling glasses and spirited history of our hidden hangar.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Space for a large guest list
  • Combines timeless elegance with history
  • Designed for grand celebrations

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
1010 West was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. They took care of all the setup, breakdown and cleanup, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day. The venue itself has such a unique character and historic charm - it provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The team expertly handled the timeline and floor plan, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The staff was so caring and kind, making our guests feel right at home in this beautiful space. We're so grateful to 1010 West for helping make our wedding day truly unforgettable.

Why you'll love this venue

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included

I feel very fortunate that we were able to celebrate our wedding at such a beautiful venue. The setting was truly stunning, and leading up to the big day, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. They made the planning process smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated. Additionally, the list of recommended vendors they provided was absolutely fantastic. I have to give special thanks to Four Rivers Barbecue, Cocktails Catering, and Kaleidoscope Lighting, all of whom made the actual event so easy and seamless. Their services truly elevated our day and helped everything run smoothly. However, my experience on the actual wedding day was unfortunately not as positive. From the moment my bridesmaids and I arrived, the venue attendants were unwelcoming and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. There was no greeting, no introductions, and no effort to make us feel comfortable, which was especially upsetting on what was supposed to be one of the happiest and most important days of my life. Additionally, there were issues with museum guests still being present less than an hour before our event began, and we had to ask multiple times for them to leave. This should have been handled by the staff, as it added unnecessary stress to the already hectic pre-wedding preparations. At the end of the night, the venue attendants started telling our guests that they needed to leave in 20 minutes, which was perfectly reasonable. However, they failed to inform me, my bridal party, or the groom about this timing, which created confusion and made the event's conclusion feel rushed. While I didn’t use a coordinator because I felt confident in my planning abilities, I would have appreciated receiving the same time warning that was given to a few of my guests. It would have helped us to better manage the end of the event. To make matters worse, as we were breaking down, the attendants were rude to both myself and my guests, which was extremely disappointing. There is definitely a way to be firm yet kind, but that wasn’t the approach we received. Overall, while the venue itself was beautiful and all of the staff were great leading up to the day, the attitude and behavior of the venue attendants on the wedding day really left a negative impression. I hope they can address these issues for future couples, as it detracted from what should have been a perfect day.

From the moment we stepped foot into Pegasus Manor, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of magic and enchantment. When I heard about the Colonial at Sunset and its location, I assumed it was going to be another barn venue. Nothing wrong with barn venues, it just wasn’t our vision for our day. The entire property was our backyard wedding dream and the owners made our experience better than we could have imagined. Britt and her husband went above and beyond for us. Before we even arrived to start getting ready for the day, her husband was out front pressure washing the outdoor area where we chose to have our ceremony. I am so grateful for their hearts and the details they payed attention to so we didn’t have to worry about it or even think about it. We opted for the all inclusive package which made our experience with planning that much easier. I recall one meeting asking if I was missing anything or if there was anything more I needed to do because it all felt too easy and she assured me that with her help, that’s how it was supposed to feel. Leading up to the day of the wedding we knew we wanted our focus to be on each other and God and walking into the day we knew we could confidently do that because of Britt and the way she serves others on their special day with excellence. If you’re not just looking for a venue but a family who cares about you and your day, then you should stop looking because you’ve found it with the Colonial at Sunset and their amazing team.

With 1,350 miles of coastline, historic estates and tropical gardens at your fingertips, the Sunshine State transforms your ceremony from an intimate gathering into a truly grand celebration.

Why Consider Florida for Your Wedding?

Florida's diverse landscapes create exceptional backdrops for your special day. Paradise Cove in Orlando offers waterfront settings with lush gardens and even provides a private boat shuttle for you and your guests, accommodating up to 300 people. Bakers Ranch near Tampa delivers all-inclusive packages with touches of Southern elegance that make planning easier. Most couples start their venue search about 13 months before their wedding date, with November being the busiest month for inquiries.

How Much Do Florida Wedding Venues Cost?

Your wedding budget in Florida typically scales with guest count:

  • 50 guests: $19,395
  • 100 guests: $32,141
  • 150 guests: $44,126
  • 200 guests: $54,841
  • 250 guests: $65,555
  • 300 guests: $76,270

Where Are Florida's Most Accessible Wedding Venues?

Paradise Cove gives you wheelchair-friendly spaces throughout the entire property. If oceanfront views matter to you, Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront provides accessible spaces with beautiful beachside ceremony options and covered reception areas that accommodate groups from 10 to 250 guests. Bakers Ranch can host your celebration whether you're planning for 50 or 200 guests and comes with comprehensive amenities.
