Everything about our experience with Venture was genuinely terrific from start to finish. A team of hard-working people who are willing to help with anything that they are able to. Communication was top-notch throughout the entire process, and the kindness exemplified by everyone who works there could not be overstated. The location is not only beautiful, but the positive energy one feels when walking around and staying on site is so powerful! I knew it was where I wanted to get married the moment I got out of the car on my first visit. Prior to visiting venture, we had looked at several other locations and had done a ton of online research. Many other venues were outrageously priced, even at a base cost, with basic amenities being additional costs. On top of being more expensive from the jump, the environments offered were not nearly as beautiful and fully realized as Venture. The newly built kitchen is stunning and so functional! All of the bathrooms with flushable toilets, electricity, and outlets made my less nature oriented guests feel very comfortable. Overall, everybody had a fantastic time, and every need my husband I had throughout this process was more than met. You will not regret spending time here at Venture Retreat Center, whether that’s for your wedding or just to book a stay for an escape from stressful life. From the moment we first spoke with the owners, Lisa and Victor, we felt like we were part of their family. Their warm and authentic presence put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is incredibly charming, with historic character and beautiful natural surroundings, it's also situated perfectly at the end of Pescadero's main street so its private but at the same time just a few steps away from a market, local coffee shop and historic saloon! Lisa and Victor went above and beyond to ensure every detail was attended to, and we received so many compliments from our guests on the overall beauty and comfort of the space. We're so grateful to have celebrated our wedding here. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any couple looking for a truly memorable experience.

We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.

In March 2024 our university booked a block of rooms at Shashi Hotel, Mountain View, CA. From the initial contact to the final good byes we received beyond excellent customer service! I was working with Madeleine Villanueva, Sales Manager for the hotel. Madeleine’s attention to detail, professionalism, friendliness, and assistance on every possible detail and request were outstanding. The hotel and restaurant welcomed us with customized welcome signs. The rooms were spotless clean and beds were super comfortable. Reception staff was fast to response, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant on site matched the hotel qualities. The food and the service was amazing! Overall, we had an awesome experience and looking forward to return to Shashi! I recommend both, the hotel and the restaurants to anyone visiting Bay Area.

My husband and I chose to have our wedding reception (170 guests) at Fogo de Chão in Santana Row, and we highly recommend it for anyone else considering a restaurant as a venue for a wedding reception. We were already familiar with both the Fogo de Chão San Francisco and Santana Row locations as we had dined at these two locations a few times prior to the wedding (both for date night and family outings). Each time the service was fantastic, so it was an easy choice for the both of us to make. I've assisted in planning wedding receptions for other family members and friends with various, typical, non-restaurant wedding reception venues, each and every time a different headache, so my husband and I knew for sure that choosing a restaurant would be the best choice. The Fogo de Chão team delivered and provided the easiest planning experience by far. Leo and Yelena provided us with timely updates, kept communication open, and kindly received and efficiently executed all of our requests. The night of our reception greatly exceeded our expectations. Fogo de Chão is a beautiful restaurant as is so very, very minimal decorations were needed. The quality of our dinner and service felt so luxurious. The staff was warm, highly attentive and catered to all of our guests' needs; we even had our own designated server for our sweetheart table. From the moment we inquired, all the way to the end of our wedding reception, Leo, Yelena, and the entire Fogo de Chão team made our experience extremely effortless, seamless, and memorable! Our guests to this day still rave about how delicious everything was, and the great time that they had! My husband and I are beyond happy and grateful that we were able to share our wedding day with the Fogo de Chão team. They made our wedding reception an event we will proudly look back on and cherish forever. A very heartfelt thank you to the Fogo de Chão team for this special time!

We loved this venue and all our memories from our wedding. We worked with Narod who helped in all communication. We also got help from Ryan in AV. They were both so easy going and great to work with! We loved how beautiful the setup is. The ceremony outside was so nice. The Redwood Hall is also so gorgeous for photos and fun for dancing. We also really liked the cocktail area. We got an animal ambassador and guests had fun seeing the ferret and kestrel. We got nothing but compliments related to how fun the venue was. We are so happy we chose this place for our wedding. A family of 40 friends and relatives celebrated the life of a beloved family member who passed. Finca Montara helped find a bi-lingual non-denominational pastor, and a harpist for uplifting music. The comfortable antique pews and chairs added a lovely ambiance. Afterwards, we adjourned to the house for a buffet, toasts to the departed, and family unity. Altogether a wonderful experience! Highly recommended for weddings and renewal of vows as well as commemorations.

Our families and guests were blown away by how beautiful, organized, and smooth the entire celebration was. Everyone was so impressed with the venue, and we received endless compliments throughout the night. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious — huge shout out to Chef Maria and staff. Fairview Metropolitan gave us the most unforgettable day, with a level of service and quality that far exceeded our expectations. The best part? It was affordable for the value we received. My husband and I were engaged in October 2023 and began looking at wedding venues the month after. We then finalized our booking with Redwood Canyon in January 2024 to give ourselves ample time for planning and financing for our big day on May 26th, 2025. Since we live on the East Coast and majority of our families reside in the Bay Area, we wanted to find a venue that could provide an all-inclusive package and bring our vision to reality - and Redwood Canyon checked all of those boxes... even going above and beyond. We are very happy with the entire process that led up to our special day and the outcome of our wedding. *1 year prior to the wedding* They kept us updated with some of the renovations they were making at the time. When we wanted to do a physical tour in June 2024, they fitted us into the schedule and showed us the actual colors of table cloths, napkins, lighting, etc. *8 months prior to the wedding* The wedding team sent us an invitation to the Fall Wedding Extravaganza Fair for late October 2024. We unfortunately couldn't make it, but they accommodated us by including our friend couple residing in the Bay Area to take over our place. Our friend couple FaceTimed us during the entire event to make us feel like we were there! They commented how it was nice to try out all the food options they had in the package to know what foods the couple would like to finalize for their wedding day. They also enjoyed the fun activities the DJ curated - there were two opportunities to win a prize from those activities. *5 months prior to the wedding* This was a two-hour call with the wedding team to go over our vision and details. I forgot the name of the person assisting us, but she was very patient and fun to talk with! She reassured us that if there were changes we'd like to make over the next few months, they'd be happy to accommodate. A few months later, vendors contacted us to further discuss additional details - officiant, cake, DJ, and florist. *1 week prior to the wedding* We had Jacoby as our amazing wedding coordinator and Ana to assist on our special day. They reviewed and confirmed details as well as what to expect on our Rehearsal Day, which was a day prior to our wedding. We loved their positive attitudes and professionalism throughout the process! *Wedding Day* Despite how fast and chaotic it felt, we truly appreciate Jacoby and Ana for keeping us on the right pace, consistently checking in with us, and making sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the day. If there was something I, my husband, our wedding party, and family needed, they were quick to provide it. They also knew where to put our decor and took some behind-the-scenes photos to share with us after our wedding. We had our photographer, Hayden from A Perfect Impression, who suggested all the right poses, shots, angles, and places to take our photos. Our DJ, Saul, was very accommodating with a song request and some changes that we communicated through email and text - the vibe of the ceremony and reception was perfect. The food was fantastic, the photobooth provided high-quality images that we could receive through a texted link. *Overall* If we could rate it more than 5 stars, we totally would! We are truly happy that we chose Redwood Canyon for our wedding - an amazing and friendly team with a beautiful venue that accommodated 80 of our guests!
