Having our wedding at Serre was a dream. The staff was so helpful every step of the way, from the first tour to our big day! Melissa and Brennan were always so quick to respond to our many questions, and the staff who served the drinks and setup everything were wonderful as well. They made it so easy by giving us access to a planning website called Aisle Planner so that we could plan every little detail. They also set it up exactly how we wanted it by the time we got to the rehearsal so that we could look over everything the day before. Any small changes I wanted to make to the layout were done with no problem. My guests were (and still are) raving about how beautiful the venue was and how great the wine tasted! We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and would highly recommend that everyone have their wedding at Serre!

We got married here and it was an amazing experience! From start to finish everyone was very helpful and accommodating of all our vendors. We even had llamas come from a nearby farm for our first look photos and for the guests to interact with before the wedding. The bridal suite gave me a great area to prepare in private while also giving enough room for my family and friends to be there for me. My husband also enjoyed having the RV to get ready as well. The views made for some incredible pictures! Highly recommend!

Shiloh Ridge is absolutely stunning! Emily & Heidi were amazing to work with and we had unlimited communication with them. They are very professional and so fun to be around! They definitely went above and beyond to make our day stress free and simply amazing! We couldn’t believe the price, they need to charge more for all they do and offer! You won’t be disappointed with Shiloh Ridge! One more thing, the mountain view is gorgeous and it is very close to a park with a small waterfall!

This place is amazing! Our wedding was in October of 2020 and it turned out beautiful and just about as stress free as you can get. The owner is so helpful sits down with you so she can make everything perfect. The decorations were gorgeous and if you don’t have a DJ, catering, etc. she has recommendations. We planned on getting married at the oak tree, but we had to use our rain plan when it drizzled all day but it worked out perfectly. It was an easy fix and turned out way prettier than I could imagine.

Coley Hall at The Liberty

5.0

Elkin, NC
  • Up to 500 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Coley Hall at The Liberty began as a run-down century old Tobacco Warehouse. After being purchased by Elkin native Cicely McCulloch, the space was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. However, one cannot help but notice the space’s rich history. With an industrial feel, century-old exposed beams overhead, weathered wood, and distressed brick, it’s the definition of rustic elegance and can be tailor-made to fit any style. Keep things simple by utilizing the existing beauty of the space, or dress it up with elegant sheer fabrics draped overhead. Even if you are not DIY savvy, our staff is here to provide inspiration to ensure your vision comes to life!

amazing experience from start to finish! we had our wedding 1/13/24 and it was THE BEST DAY! the food, the drinks, all of the staff were just absolutely amazing to work with. Our wedding planner, Alex, was especially amazing to work with. she made everything so stress free and our day went perfectly! would highly recommend for a wedding (or any party, really)!

The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guest. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. The largest of the dressing rooms is known as the Brides Room, providing a relaxing and calming feel, with large vaulted ceilings, and views of the mountains.

This wedding venue is gorgeous. The mountains and autumn leaves were absolutely amazing to have especially coupled with the secluded, rustic barn setting that Doug has put together. The staff was so helpful and courteous, supporting us with final decoration touches and amazing host skills. Our bartender, Don, went above-and-beyond by creating our bride-and-groom cocktails with alternative ingredients even when we ran out. They were all really great at day-of coordination. Doug makes all of the food and it turns out really delicious; we recommend the braciole and polenta! The entire day worked out great and our needs were met on the day-of to make the final day very special for us. Although, keep in mind that Doug is solely running the place, which makes it rather difficult to contact him via email or phone. When we arrived for the food tasting in June (wedding date in November), the tasting was rather disorganized and chaotic, leaving us no room to ask questions or determine much-needed details (such as alcohol, food, decorations, seating, order-of-ceremony, vendors, etc. ). Doug's mother, Frida, hosted us for the tasting and left us having more questions than answers. These details were not discussed as was originally planned, but panned over quickly without room for further discussion. Unbeknownst to us there was another wedding at the time of our tasting, which did not allow us the room or time to discuss the topics during the tasting. She was further surprised that we wanted to see the venue, asking if we could come back later, only to be disgruntled when we said we lived out-of-state, which was known to them several months before. It was a stressful 'first look'; recommend going through Doug only for all arrangements/communication. Even so, details were often forgotten--and last minute, we were notified that a special event license was needed to serve alcohol, which (living in DC) is almost impossible to get any government action in less than 4 weeks. It was down to the wire when we finally got the license. Wish we had known of the license requirement 5 months prior in June during the tasting. All being said, it is a beautiful venue and Doug is very kind to take on the venture of hosting weddings at his venue. Be an on-point, early planner and you'll succeed.

Unwind in private hot tubs, gather around the Fire Pavilion, or find quiet moments under pergolas. At Serenity Ridge, we're here to create a genuine and heartfelt setting for your love story, a place where your love shines brightest.

Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding than our wedding at Serenity Ridge. They are more inclusive than any other venue we looked at, our rental order was minimal because of everything they have to offer. The property is beautiful with not only onsite accommodations, but plenty of local accommodations for those out of town. One of my favorite parts was the ability to have so many of our friends and family stay together for the weekend. It makes such a difference in a day that already goes by so fast! The weather was perfect for our wedding but I’m still confident rain or shine, all seasons, Serenity Ridge is the perfect wedding space. The view of the mountains during the day and the stars at the end of the night is unreal. The communication was great, they are very professional and straightforward. You can tell they have years of experience in the wedding business. Their website is SUPER informative and they even have a virtual tour of the entire property! I felt so at ease working with their staff for everything to come together and they exceeded our expectations for our wedding weekend! Everyone loved the American Buffet and my husband still can’t stop talking about the crostini appetizers. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, there was a gift waiting for us in the Yurt the night of our wedding and s'more's kits in every cabin for the fire pit. All of our guests were so impressed with this hidden gem in Mill Spring, you just don’t find places like this so close to home. Thank you Haley and Serenity Ridge staff for helping us have a the best day, we are forever grateful!
