A little bit about me so you feel like you're connecting with a real person- I'm Emily. I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and so I love animals and nature. I love thrift stores, tropical plants, and horses. I live with a little tribe of wildmen- my husband, my two year old, and our cat who is probably part lion. I have a counseling degree and that has really formed me as a photographer. My film guy is my husband Zach, and we met in a library. He knows five different ways to brew coffee and can play six different instruments.

Like with anything I do, I’ve put much heart, work and energy into photography. Yet, the most rewarding part are still the emotions, and happy messages I get from my clients. The best way to tell honest stories is through keen observation. How do I know? Because I spent 15 years as a journalist before becoming a wedding photographer. By paying attention to the ways you interact with your loved ones, I capture the in-between moments that will, one day, be significant. And using a trained eye and subtle approach, I do so unobtrusively.
