Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and everything I had ever dreamed of. I truly cannot thank the entire team at Backwoods enough for all of the hard work, dedication, and care they put into making our day so special. From the moment we arrived until the very end of the night, everything ran so smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests are still talking about both the dinner and the passed appetizers. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect. I also cannot say enough wonderful things about Annie, the in-house baker. I highly recommend utilizing her for your wedding desserts! She helped create the perfect dessert selection for our special day and personalized everything to fit our wedding theme and style. Not only were the desserts beautiful, but they were absolutely delicious. A huge thank you goes to Jamie, the wedding coordinator. She truly is a blessing! She handled all of the behind-the-scenes details, kept everything organized, and made sure the entire day flowed seamlessly. Because of her, we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment. I also highly recommend Roxanne with Unforgettable Wedding Events for your wedding coordinating and styling needs. She takes your vision and brings it to life in the most beautiful way. She made decorating so easy, stress-free, and affordable while creating a day that perfectly reflected our style and theme. The golf course itself was absolutely stunning and made the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. Our photographer had so much fun capturing pictures throughout the property, and every location was breathtaking. Overall, our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to celebrate with. If you're looking for a venue with incredible food, beautiful scenery, outstanding staff, and people who truly care about making your wedding unforgettable, I cannot recommend Backwoods enough. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

I worked together with Olga at Mountain Pearl for a styled photoshoot we did together this fall. As a wedding photographer who has shot hundreds of weddings in the area and beyond, I highly recommend them. The venue is beautiful and modern inside- a blank canvas for many different wedding styles. The outdoor area is stunning with mountain views, gorgeous blooms in season, a pond, greenhouse and tons of picturesque spots for photos! My favorite area of the venue was the greenhouse which (I think) is very unique to the area and the perfect spot for a microwedding, a ceremony or even a cocktail hour area. Mountain Pearl is a family run venue and you can tell they go above and beyond for anyone who visits. Olga and her family treated every vendor on site with such care and kindness. I can’t wait to go back for another wedding in the future! 10/10 recommend!!!

We were contracted to cater a wedding at the Enchanted Valley Farm. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. If there was a question or a need for anything they were responsive and reliable. The barn in which the wedding and reception are held is beautiful and unique. Next door is a house the wedding party can stay, which I thought was a fabulous idea. The land surrounding is stunning and perfect for wedding pictures. The Enchanted Valley Farm is the perfect place to host your special day and will leave you with pleasant memories.

Venue considerations

Knotted Pines was the perfect venue for our wedding. Wedding venues are incredibly expensive these days, and the value we received for the price was unmatched by anywhere else we looked. The family that owns Knotted Pines were very accommodating, down to earth, and very kind in all of our interactions. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had what we needed. As for the venue itself? Gorgeous. Our wedding was in June and while we knew that Western PA is always lush and green at that time of year, Knotted Pines was absolutely stunning. Friends and colleagues who weren't able to attend saw our pictures and said that it looked like an actual fairy tale. The photos really speak for themselves! We wanted a slightly unconventional wedding (including camping out with our close friends after the reception), but we also wanted everyone to feel comfortable and welcomed. Knotted Pine was perfect! Even without decor, the venue is beautiful and provides a gorgeous setting of natural beauty and intimacy. Add a little bit of decoration to make it your own, and you'll have your dream venue. Knotted Pines has the resources needed for a wedding, including plentiful bathrooms, a quiet room for children (or a stressed out bride!), and is handicap accessible. They will work with you to create the wedding that *you* want. For us, it was the wedding of our dreams and it was an absolutely perfect day. (Photos by Adam Michaels Studio)
