We got married at The Oaks at High Hill this past weekend and it was truly the most beautiful venue we could have asked for. The property has everything you need, and the scenery is breathtaking. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and so helpful throughout the entire weekend. Our coordinator, Kym was amazing—we couldn’t have done the weekend without her, the guests and wedding party haven’t stopped talking about how good she was! Having the cabins onsite for our wedding party was a total game changer and made the whole weekend feel seamless and special. Getting married under the oak tree was absolutely picture-perfect. Beth and Chris are truly the heart and soul of what made our wedding so special. From the moment we booked our venue last December to our wedding day in June, they made everything feel effortless, personal, and full of warmth. Both are incredibly kind, organized, and attentive—always going above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. Their team did a flawless job bringing our vision to life; every photo, décor piece, and little touch was placed perfectly. We especially loved how thoughtful they were in allowing our sweet pup, Hershey, to be part of our pictures outside the venue—it meant so much to us! The entire day flowed beautifully, our guests had the best time, and everything was coordinated to perfection. We are endlessly grateful to Beth and Chris for making our wedding day as magical and memorable as we had always dreamed.

Thistlewood Manor & Garden was the perfect venue! We got engaged in November of 2024 and Married at Thistlewood in November of 2025! We signed a contract on our first walk through in January 2025 and it was the best decision ever! Thistlewood has great people that ask all the right questions that we wouldn't have thought of. What made them stand out to us was how upfront and honest they were regarding costs and their packages. Not only did they offer a wide range of choices but their priority was my husband and I. Other venues we viewed were nearly three times the cost of Thistlewood but offered not even half of the services provided or nearly as beautiful. For what we paid for a full day at Thistlewood would have been a partial payment for a few hours at other non inclusive venues. They made it possible to not only plan the wedding in 10 months but to perfect it! If there was a mix up on communications they fixed it immediately. Thistlewood offered amazing options for vendors that they recommended, most notable of these was our wedding coordinator. Who, might I add, was fantastic in all communications with the venue and other vendors. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. The food provided by their on site kitchen staff was some of the best food we have ever had. Not to mention the sheer variety of options related to food AND their attentiveness to allergies and dietary restrictions of guests. The guest loved it so much, many said they had not been to a wedding as nice as ours in a long time. Friends our age said Thistlewood set the bar for what a wedding should be and we couldn't agree more. We have not had a single negative thing said about the venue, only praise. Thistlewood is the best wedding venue for your wedding from price to the nearly all inclusive packages!

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.
