Citizens Ballroom is a cornerstone building turned wedding and special event venue in the heart of historic downtown Frederick. The former bank has been lovingly renovated to its original glory and updated for its new life as a celebration space. Originally built in 1908, the building still contains most of its original details, including bronze doors, statement 30-foot coffered ceilings and signature bank vaults. Come in for the gorgeous venue and stay to enjoy our industry changing policies that allow you to customize your day beginning with our standard 16 hour day. Come early to relax in your dressing suite, give your vendors ample time to decorate and set up, and plenty of time for photographs! You're free to select your favorite licensed/insured full service caterer, and our curated short list is a great place to begin. Born and raised in Maryland, I’m a creative wedding photographer. A lotta years back I jacked in my safe, noble, health insurance-providing job working with grieving families to follow a little dream I had. I wanted to take pictures. That means I live a completely outnumbered existence with two males in the house but don’t worry, I’m on top of it. While living in CA she worked for a Hollywood Photo studio for 4 yrs. Upon moving to Colorado she worked at a wedding and portrait studio. Angela is a self taught photographer. In her youth she dabbled in modeling. This taught her posing, angles and finding the light. She is a classically trained visual artist in many mediums. Through that she learned to understand human form. 15 years ago she opened a face and body painting business and added photography shortly after.
