You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!

Hi everyone! My name is Maia (she/her) Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out a harp lesson, and ever since that day, I haven’t looked back! In my 13 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today! Outside of my musical background , my degree is in Early Childhood Education. I am luck to work in both the childcare and music fields!

In August 2022 the Benson Sisters, Kim and Kristin took the leap and purchased a 1983 vintage two horse trailer, when has been converted to serve as a catering service for a variety of venues, including elegant weddings, corporate events, festivals, tailgating parties and other get-togethers.

Built in 1893, the former city hall of Fort Wayne is a beautiful example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. As a museum and a historic building, the History Center has a unique character of its own for you and your guests to explore. Travel through time and learn about the history of Allen County and Fort Wayne through the museum’s fascinating exhibits. The History Center has three rooms available to rent, making it the perfect location for any event. The Shields Room is the centerpiece of the museum. It is the former City Council Chamber and Courtroom. Its features include golden oak paneling, a grand chandelier, large windows with expansive city views, and the restored 22-foot ceiling decorated in rich colors and 24kt gold-leaf stencils. You and your guests may ascend the Grand Staircase or use the elevator to reach the room’s second floor entrance. When he was ten years old, he proudly brought home to his mother a copy of The Household Searchlight Recipe Book that he had found in a neighbor’s trash. Thompson is a professional violinist and teacher with a Master of Music degree in Early Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University. She has a private violin studio in Fort Wayne, IN, and performs with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Marion Philharmonic. Her ensemble Evermore Strings provides live classical strings music for weddings and events throughout northeast Indiana.
