Flowers for Dreams

4.7

Detroit, MI
  • Starts at $500

Flowers for Dreams is a mission-driven, local flower design company. Using beautiful & natural wedding bouquets to advance causes of justice and charity in your community. There are no silly upsells, no unnecessary add-ons, and always honest pricing. Our designers work with you from the first meeting to your wedding day.

Loved working with Flowers for Dreams! Lilly was great to work with — very thorough, professional and calming. She was helpful when I didn’t exactly know what I wanted but also very receptive when I had specific things in mind that I wanted to incorporate. Very easy to work with and accommodating in every way! This company takes care of of so many aspects too, I loved that I could rent candles/stands/votives and it was all Included in a great price. I also love that they provided some inspo options when I wasn’t sure how I wanted things (ex: sweetheart table) and Included options at different price points. Really couldn’t recommend them enough. I really felt like we were taken care of throughout the whole process. It also put me at ease that my photographer had a great experience with them in the past as well! I also love their mission and that a portion of their profits are donated! Very very pleased

Poppy was just what I wanted for our wedding! I very quickly and easily found the flowers I loved and wanted and it was all online or over the phone! Anna, the floral expert assigned to our order, was very responsive and when we had our meeting with her, she was very helpful in making sure we were ordering exactly what we wanted. I absolutely loved the blush traditional bouquet for me and my bridesmaids and the blush romantic garden flower clouds. The clouds were PERFECT to top each of the wine barrels that served as our altar. We were complimented a lot on the clouds. Overall, could not have been happier with Poppy. I would highly recommend for your wedding!

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

I’m so glad we went with the Faux Bouquets for our wedding florals. Everything was beautiful and nobody believed me when I said they weren’t live flowers. If you are worried about how they will look, DONT be!!! There is a great variety of flowers on their website and I am so happy with how everything turned out. Our wedding was in 2016. My husband and I knew we wanted comic book details in different parts of our wedding day; we did not anticipate flowers being an area we would do this. I also had a clear idea of what I didn’t want for floral. Enter Bunny. All I could tell her was: I love pink, roses are stupid, I like carnations, maybe some lilies if those were in season. This was not a lot to work with, and didn’t give her much direction. Y’all - she is so creative and talented!! She did paper flowers out of old comic books, found me a bunch of gorgeous pink flowers, added greenery, and did not include roses. My flower girls had flower wands and they loved them. My bouquet ribbon had The Hulk on it. Bunny thought of things I did not, and it was exactly perfect. You will absolutely not be disappointed if you hire her.

Blüm Floral and Events

4.0

Ferndale, MI
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Detroit, MI

Blüm Floral is a team of florists from the Detroit metro area who aspire to make every event unique from all others. Our goal is to make each client feel that their event is totally theirs, and totally luxurious. You can reach out to us here or by our website, blumfloral . com. We look forward to speaking with you so soon.

Hiring Blum was the best creative decision we made for our wedding. We had spoken to several florists who claimed our budget was too low and unrealistic. After the first call with Nadine we knew we had a match. Nadine and team spend time sharing vision boards and sample flowers to ease planning stress. The time the team spends perfecting the vision is worth every penny. Nadine executed everything to a T. Our flowers were perfect and unique to us! We highly recommend to everyone in Michigan. Make sure to ask them about cake installation flowers. Our guests were blown away by what they provided!

As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

Studio Wilde Floral

5.0

Fenton, MI
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Detroit, MI

Hi, I'm Sarah! Welcome :) Studio Wilde is bases out of my home studio in Fenton, MI. I like to focus my work on unique and artful design with a bit of funk. My favorite client to work with is someone who wants something unique and personalized to them!

Sarah is definitely one of those people who is on board to be different. She doesn't shy away from funky, nontraditional methods. She is the first to step into a challenge, the best for making "grunge" beautiful, and the one I can count on to level up the creativity on "basic" designs. As a vendor, working with her was seamless and I loved how communicative she was. I know she is the same way with her clients as well. She offers guidance and an open mind but delivers ABOVE and BEYOND what you would have ever comprehended. She's one of those vendors that I feel confident in referring, not only for her work, but her work ethic. I know I never have to worry when she's on the team! If you're looking for something different, stop looking. You've got it in Sarah.
