Castle Unicorn is located on a 400-acre private estate in the Loess Hills of Iowa and is located only 20 minutes from downtown Omaha. The Castle and outdoor Pavilion provide a breathtaking backdrop for both your wedding and reception. Our Century Old Red Barn breathes authenticity. Built in 1898, you will be drawn to the wood-pegged hand-hewn beams the moment you step through the immense sliding barn door into this stunning space. An exquisite crystal chandelier adds elegance to our rustic character. During your 3-day rental, you may celebrate slowly; host your rehearsal dinner on-site for no extra charge, enjoy your wedding and reception the next day, and leave the cleaning for the final day. The Alta House Event Center is a hidden gem conveniently located off I-80 and 37 minutes East of Des Moines. Conveniently located near several hotels within minutes of your venue for your guests, overnight accommodations are also available right on site. We are surrounded by plenty of photo ops, such as our on-site pond, heavily wooded areas, the Thirty-acre park, open fields, and breathtaking sunsets as your backdrop. We have several packages available no matter your budget; we will find the right package for you. The most popular package is our "Wedding Weekend Package," providing full access for 48 hours, allowing you the freedom to host rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and even brunch the following morning, all in one convenient location. 1969 was the last Presbyterian service. In 2012, artist Zack Jones purchased this 1873 church as a artist live/work space. Today the studio apartment is available for the wedding party and preparations. Art Church Weddings is located in a 1873 de-sanctified Church in Malvern, IA. and is a permanent gallery to oil painter Zack Jones. Better known as Art Church Iowa, this unique building is coming back to life with exhibits, concerts, and private events.

Carper Winery is a rural venue just minutes from the Metro! The 1868 Farmhouse is a gorgeous wedding venue nestled in the Iowa countryside, just 15 minutes outside of Ames and 45 minutes from Des Moines. Our weekend rental is three days long and includes access to the space from Friday 1PM-Sunday 1PM. Enjoy plenty of setup time, a gorgeous space to host your rehearsal dinner, multiple ceremony locations, a gorgeous reception hall and finally, a place to host a farewell breakfast or brunch for your guests.
