The Julia Morgan Ballroom at the Merchants Exchange is San Francisco’s most coveted special event venue. Our 3000 square foot space is located in the historic Cotton Mill district of Oakland. Just off the 880 freeway, Flowhouse is located just east of Brooklyn Basin and directly opposite the Embarcadero Cove pier. We have two beautiful dance studios that can be used for dancing as well as dinner set up. One studio can also be used as dressing room area. We also have a beautiful living room and lobby area that can be used for a buffet set up, receiving area, and cocktail area.

When guests arrive at the redwood-and-glass building, they often gather in its open, airy lobby. Then, if you’re having your ceremony here (and most couples do), your family and friends will be ushered through Craftsman-styled double wooden doors to the serene South Patio. This beautiful, crescent-shaped flagstone space wraps around one entire side of the building and features a Zen-like border of Japanese maples, native plants and graceful oaks. Handcrafted ceramic urns are integrated throughout and serve as artful and calming water features. You can opt to exchange vows in front of those wooden entry doors, or take full advantage of the patio’s pièce de résistance and say “I do” beneath an asymmetrical canvas canopy. There’s ample room for al fresco cocktails on the patio before everyone moves into the Sequoia Room for dinner. This reception area feels quite spacious, with its cathedral ceiling, polished hardwood floors, and two walls of glass

Our timeless venue is a perfect fit for your event. The San Jose Woman's Club Landmark historic venue, number 32 on the Historic Register, is the ideal place for your special event. The 1929 California Mission Revival style structure was built for the SJWC and designed by the notable architectural firm of Wolfe & Higgins. It includes many tiled features created by famed ceramicist Albert Solon. The Historic Venue provides in-kind donation of lowered cost rental of the SJWC to local community and arts groups for fund-raising events, performances and meetings. Rent the entire Historic Landmark Venue for your event, you and up to 350 guests have the use of the entire facility including the Landmark ballroom, tea room, kitchen and fireside room.

Opened in spring of 2001, the Los Altos History Museum resides in an impressive three-level, 8,200-square-foot building – built entirely with private donations; building ownership was transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The Museum features a changing exhibits gallery as well as the permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula,” that describes the rich history of Los Altos and the surrounding area.

The Tech Interactive is a science and technology center and is a fantastic place for a large or small party: Three-levels can accommodate up to 2,500 guests on a large, adaptable floor plan, or flexible spaces make events of all sizes feel at home. You can reserve The Interactive lobby, fully operational interactive exhibit galleries, the IMAX Dome Theater or our rooftop terrace, which features stunning views of downtown landmarks. From 75 to 275 people, the Gilroy Lodge on the Hill is the perfect place for any event. Our Valley View Room offers floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the hillside of oak trees and our beautiful outdoor patio. This dining room is great for hosting a variety of events, including Weddings, Anniversaries, Quinceanera, Reunions, Fundraisers, and Proms. Our Mt. Madonna Room is available for more intimate gatherings like Birthdays, Baby or Bridal Showers, Corporate Meetings, and so much more!

Welcome. Venture Retreat Center, was founded in the early 1960s by a group of Bay Area pioneering individuals. The group was rooted in what was later coined "The Human Potential Movement," and held workshops, retreats, and training sessions to explore the big questions of, "Who are we? Why are we here?."

The Clubhouse is ideal for gatherings of up to 100 people. The building, designed by Charles E. Hodges was constructed in 1916. The Clubhouse is a lovely venue for private parties, weddings, recitals and off-site meetings. Guests enter through a charming portico on Homer Avenue into a spacious foyer. The main room is a simply designed space with grand proportions. On two sides, tall windows flood the room with light, which reflects off polished maple floors. Eight brass-and-glass fixtures are suspended from the high ceiling, and dark wood wainscoting and trim throughout add period character. This room includes a stage, framed by a red velvet curtain and illuminated by footlights. There is a grand piano available for musical accompaniment. Buffets are usually set up in the adjacent Fireside Room which is joined to the main room by folding French doors.

OVY Camp and Event Center is a 501c3 non-profit. Each year, we open most weekends between January-May & August-December for events like weddings. Unfortunately, we do not host any weddings June - mid-August since we host our non-profit summer camp programs during that time. All rental fees help OVY Camp bring youth to summer camp that otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity!
