Cacapon Resort State Park

5.0

Berkeley Springs, WV
  • Up to 190 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $35

Our venue offers a memorable, romantic and serene natural setting amidst the rolling hills of West Virginia. Sitting in the shadows of the highest peak in the eastern portion of West Virginia. Cacapon Resort State Park offers 6,000 acres of exciting outdoor getaways all year-round. The word Cacapon is a derivative of a Shawnee Indian word meaning "medicine waters," a reference to the area's mineral waters that have been renowned throughout history for their healing powers. The park is frequented by both nature lovers and adventure seekers from around the state, as well as nearby cities such as Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Cacapon Resort is also a draw for history buffs due to its proximity to the historic town of Berkeley Springs and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Extend your stay by booking a room at the park’s recently renovated lodge — the newest in the state park system, in a cabin, or the restored Old Inn.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides event staff
  • Classic seating dinner
  • Allows pets

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
We booked our April wedding at Cacapon and it was perfect. We booked the Old Inn for the Rehearsal Dinner and as a place for us and the bridal party to stay. The ceremony took place out on the terrace and the reception was inside the ballroom. Everything was perfect!

You guys, this barn is. A. Dream. Got married here in July 2019 and it was hooooot but the barn allows fans, AND provides them! It was a breeze (pun intended) to cool off quickly! Claire is a wonderful woman who just wants the best for your on your wedding day. The cottage is a must, and very lovely to get changed in. This place is the best valued venue I've seen anywhere in Northern VA.
