The oldest house in Philo (1888), it was Anderson Valley’s first post office and stagecoach stop that decades later was the Philo Pottery Inn. During the painstaking restoration we did using nearly all salvaged materials, its secrets and history began to resurface. We were constantly discovering little finds, over 200 1880's old glass bottles buried on the grounds to the headline clad 1915 newspaper lined walls in the main house. It’s been part remodel and archeological dig. Now it’s ready to host events & make fresh memories for decades to come. A few years ago we were lucky enough to add 20+ acres of open meadow lands & forest contiguous to TKO for events & glamping and built an amphitheater by Indian Creek in the woods. We can host up to 100 and have have 12 bedrooms in three fab houses, plus glamping tents. There are so many ways to utilize the property and also vintage trailers and wacky Japanese cars to get creative with. Come see for yourself and be part of its evolving history.

I found Whispertree (formerly Bell Valley Retreat) when I was looking for a retreat/camping wedding setting for our Spring wedding. It was that and so much more! The accommodations exceeded all expectations-- beautiful, modern, eco-friendly, luxurious, and colorful! Our guests raved about the design and the comfort. Frida was so personable and helpful throughout the whole process; she made us feel like family. We got the best photographs because she showed us the secret spots up on the hill at golden hour! We arrived a day early to settle in and didn't want to leave on Sunday. The nature was magical-- especially our late-night bonfire under the stars after hours of dancing in the Barn. Oh yeah, and there's a hot tub! We cannot wait to return and re-visit the memories of our favorite weekend in our new favorite place. Highly recommend the venue, the staff, the vendor recommendations (especially Pilon Catering and Boontberry Farm). Zero complaints.

Jeriko Estate was amazing for our special day. The winery and grounds created the perfect vibe for our ceremony and reception. Rustic with the right amount of elegance. After the beautiful courtyard ceremony, we toasted with Jeriko Estate’s amazing Brut Rose under the 100-year-old olive tree. Everyone loved the wine bar and the outside covered arbors overlooking the vineyards. The large press room was awesome for our reception dinner and dancing and saved us from the warm summer afternoon heat. One of the best parts of having our wedding at Jeriko was the onsite lodging. The wedding party stayed in the main Jeriko house that sleeps seventeen and other guests booked the casitas and homes on the property. Jennifer and the rest of the Jeriko staff made our wedding stress free and were a delight to work with. We highly recommend Jeriko estate if you’re planning a special day!

We were able to pre-record the piano songs, and sing under an awning with wireless mics. None of this would have been fully prepared if Tara hadn't been so thoughtful about every aspect of the planning process. A truly wonderful experience. Thank you Tara!

There was no component of our wedding weekend more complimented than the venue itself. MacCallum House is the perfect location for your destination wedding. The 19 rooms on the main property are reserved exclusively for your guests. The bar & restaurant are an ideal venue for hosting groups of up to 80 guests, and includes exclusive use of our two dining rooms, each with a river stone fireplace, as well as the bar and cafe, which includes an ocean-view sun porch, a wrap-around veranda, a lounge and bar. For larger parties, the tent, situated on our lush lawn and surrounded by established landscape, can accommodate up to 200 guests. My husband and I got married in Mendocino in early August and chose MacCallum House (or Mac House) as our reception location and couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out. We knew we wanted to get married along the Mendocino coast and the most important things for us were being able to throw a memorable party and have incredible food. During our venue search, we were challenged with the logistics of lodging our guests (around 80) at reasonable price points, quiet hours that would cap our party time and figuring out transportation within a comfortable budget that wasn't cumbersome to our group. We were drawn to the Mac House due to it's insanely convenient location (our guests didn't have to use any cars once they arrived and enjoyed the town at their own pace within walking distance) and beautiful rooms at a very affordable rate but we were hook, line, sinker SOLD when we had dinner at the restaurant and tried their food. WOW. We worked really closely with Summer, who was the awesomely vivacious Mac House coordinator and our personal cheerleader as we embarked on planning our wedding within 6 months. We decided to have our ceremony a few minutes away at Cypress Grove (which the Mac House helped us plan) and due to our party size, opted to host the reception in a tent on the Mac House lawn. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives and our guests could not stop telling us how incredible the food was, how beautiful the tent looked, and most importantly how much FUN they had. I have to give a special shoutout to the entire staff who worked our event. Everyone was so kind, so attentive, and so lovely that it made a real lasting impression on everyone. I had one guest say to me verbatim "you never really notice the service at weddings but I noticed how amazing the service was at yours". We had multiple people tell us that we had the best wedding food they had ever had (we're both in our late 30s so we take that compliment as high praise as most ppl have been to tons of weddings at that point) and our party kept going till midnight before some of our guests spilled over to the local bars to keep going. The only slight bump leading up to the weekend was that it was clear to us that the Mac House was navigating some moving parts with their business this year (dealing with the aftermath of a really wet winter season, ordering new furniture, etc) and it took a while to get answers to certain questions but honestly, at no point was it stressful and it all worked out beyond our expectations. Saya (the GM), Chef Alan, and Summer are all wonderful people and they worked their tails off to give us an incredible weekend that we and our family and friends will never forget. We are huge fans of the Mac House and their entire team and can't wait to go back and visit again.

I'm so glad i chose Uncommon Weddings as my videographers! They had a great, affordable package, documenting my entire ceremony and reception highlights. The staff was so friendly and easy to work with and able to accommodate my needs. I appreciated how they were quick to answer any of my emails and questions. I didn't feel like i was ignored which is helpful during a stressful wedding planning season. They also worked great with my other vendors, especially the photographers. I requested an edit after the videos were finalized and they were amazing in getting that done quickly! Definitely recommend this team to other weddings.

(As in, several thousands of dollars less for something equally beautiful.) The flowers got many compliments and everyone was shocked they weren't real! The centerpiece and bouquets in the attached photos are from the Wren collection. The customer service at Something Borrowed Blooms is also highly responsive and helpful. This was by far one of the best decisions and money savers I could’ve done for myself. The flowers were top quality, beautiful, and we had a blast putting them together with our family. Flower Mocie is simple and they have videos that will help you prepare in advance for your vision and piecing your bouquets together. I was quoted 5000 for florals by other vendors, but with flower moxie and a little creativity, we only spent 500 to cover 12 bouquets and 16 boutonnières. HIGGLY RECOMMEND

The Talented Photographer was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Alec's communication style was fun, professional, and incredibly personable. He had a true passion for his craft that shone through in every interaction. The quality of Alec's work was absolutely stunning - we got a wonderful variety of candids, formal shots, and editorial-style pictures that captured all the special moments of our day. Alec has an incredible eye for the right shots, and the final photos are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a complicated location schedule that I was worried about, Alec made the whole day seamless, traveling to over 4 different spots to ensure we got all the groupings and special shots we wanted. Alec truly went above and beyond, and we had such a great time working with him. I'm obsessed with the pictures and would give him an 11/10 rating!

My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!

I had the absolute best experience with The Faux Bouquets. The flowers were absolutely stunning for my wedding. The owner, Brittany, was so kind and even called me to make sure my wedding wouldn't be affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, my area was not affected, but I just really felt that was a special kindness that needs to be called out. But again, the quality of the bouquets, micro sprays and greenery was so great and photographed so well! And all at a fraction of the cost of real flowers that would have just been thrown away at the end of the night! The delivery and return process couldn't have been simpler! And I loved my husband and I got to customize and keep my bouquet and his boutonniere during a promotional add-on!
