Barren Ridge Vineyards is a small vineyard and winery in the heart of Virginia’s beautiful Shenandoah Valley. John and Shelby Higgs opened the vineyard in 2008, on land purchased by John’s father in 1934 when the farm was known as St. James Orchard. Clearing the land, tending the vines, and transforming the packing barn into a state-of-the-art winery has been a labor of love for the Higgs family. Part of their vision is to see other families celebrate the special occasions and milestones of their lives at Barren Ridge, and they created event spaces characterized by warmth, elegance, rustic beauty, and Southern hospitality, surrounded by a backdrop of spectacular views. The LODGE is our latest addition, which includes 14 studio hotel rooms and 16 suites.. All spacious suites are equipped with kitchens and have the ability to adjoin to a studio for families or larger parties . Half of the suites are western views with balconies. All rooms are equipped with espresso machines, fine linens, and heated floors in bathrooms. The lodge has a top floor banquet hall featuring breathtaking sunset views of the Allegheny Mountains. The Lodge is located right next to the Corduroy Inn and across the street from the iconic Western Territory

The Vinton War Memorial is owned and operated by the Town of Vinton and often hosts public events at the venue. The Vinton War Memorial was originally conceived as the centerpiece of an 11.5-acre park that could be enjoyed by the community while honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country during World War II. The park was completed in 1946 and the two-story brick building known as the Vinton War Memorial was dedicated and opened to the public on August 20, 1948. Initially, it included the town's library, small meeting rooms, and the Dogwood Ballroom.

Originally built in 1923, this historic estate features a mansion which serves as the restaurant. The converted stable serves as the pub. The restaurant is grand, yet intimate while the pub is authentic and ruddy, both serving amazing cuisine and drink and a truly unique experience. The estate also boasts a newer ballroom able to accommodate 250 guests. The Venetian Ballroom offers full-service catering, decorative rentals, custom installations & event planning.
