Tom Pappa Photography
Baltimore, MD

I am a wedding, fine art, and lifestyle photographer in the Baltimore, DC, Northern Virginia and Philadelphia areas. In 2010 I picked up a camera and discovered a love and fulfillment I hadn't ever known before. I take a very journalistic approach to my photography. I love finding beauty and authentic emotion in every frame. I believe personal connection, the ability to be unobtrusive, and readiness to capture life's most unexpected seconds create the most authentic photography and art. My style is clean and classic – no fads or gimmicks, just you and your family captured in crisp, timeless images.

A dad, a son, a brother and a jack of all trades musician that loves to rock out any chance I get. I grew up in New York City. My inclination towards photography came from classic street photography and photojournalists from all over the world that told their stories through a lens. It made me pick up a camera and start shooting. Now, living in Maryland I shoot all sorts of stories and moments locally, domestically, and abroad. It's taken me a while to figure out what my "thing" is but I've come to figure out that I'm a milestone photographer. The moments your life that have proven to be meaningful -- I'll be there.

Everything But The Vows, LLC
Baltimore, MD
  • Planner
  • Offers 3 services

Do you know the feeling when you experience something new and it lights a fire inside of you that you didn't even know you had? For me, that happened when I fell into the world of wedding planning, specifically day-of coordination (aka the person running around with a clipboard!). In 2019, I decided to go steady with the idea of being a small business owner and created Everything But The Vows, LLC (EBTV for short). It means the world that couples have put their trust in me to help their vision come to life. I grow and learn with each wedding and I love the unique opportunity it offers to be a small part of someone's love story.

We aren't typical deejays, but elegant mixers that make your event the party that everyone raves about. We don't specialize in one style of music, we specialize in YOUR style of music. We aren't crazy about cheesy songs that some people think will get everyone out on the dancefloor. We want to have your guests party it up all night, jamming to all the wacky, fun, and eclectic songs that you are obsessed with! Grandma will be getting down to Lil Jon while all the kids sing to the classic tracks that their parents raised them on! We can't wait for you to shake it on the dancefloor with us!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Jason for the fantastic job he did as our DJ at our daughter's wedding! Jason was very professional and just a pleasure to work with! From start to finish, you truly made Alex and Sam's day extra special! The music was perfect—every song you played set the right mood and kept the energy high all night. We’ve received nothing but compliments from our guests about how great the playlist was and how much fun they had on the dance floor. You really knew how to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing all night! I think Breakin' Free from High School Musical was a highlight—Alex and Sam looked so cute; I couldn’t stop smiling! Thanks again for being such a key part of their celebration. The memories of that unforgettable dance party will be cherished for years to come. We’re so grateful Alex and Sam chose you to help make their big day even more special!

Hi. I’m Josh. Our work is based in Washington, DC, often in San Francisco and we’re happy to travel. The best photographs are simple, unobtrusive, and spontaneous. Memory fills in the gaps - this is how authentic photography captivates us. We've always sought to remember things exactly how they happened - how we felt. The goal is to unobtrusively document your day through artful frames. I'm a firm believer there is no single best photographer anywhere in the world - but there are artist the align with your vision. Please look us up on Google (Joshua Fernandez Photography) and see how past clients describe their experience with us. :)

First and foremost, congratulations! This is an exciting time! Before I begin with all the details, I would like to do away with the formalities and keep it light. Technically speaking, I’m a photographer, but honestly, since establishing my business in 2014, I would consider myself a teammate through this process. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know couples, their families, their stories, and at the end of the day, becoming a good friend. If this vibes with you, we are off to a good start :) Answering questions, transparency in communication, and prompt responses are important to me and I hope that everything I share resonates.

Wow, we have been blown away by Justin. He did a beautiful engagement shoot for us. His work is incredibly fairly priced, and is truly a steal for the quality and quantity of photos you get. He was prompt at responding to me, getting me his information, and booking our shoot. At the photo shoot, he made us feel so comfortable and like we are the most photogenic people, despite any nerves we may have had. We got previews in less than 24 hours and our full gallery in 2.5 weeks. The photos are gorgeous. It was hard to pick which ones we want to post and which ones we want to use for invitations because they’re literally all SO good! 10/10 would recommend Justin for your photography needs!!

Ed was so helpful and easy to work with our entire wedding process, which was a breath of fresh air in a very busy season! My friend had him at her wedding a few years prior and highly recommended him, and I’m so glad we took her suggestion! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. If you’re on the fence about getting a DJ, book Edward Zaruba—he made our reception FUN!
