Man of Honor
Emily's younger brother In our parents' wedding announcement in the Perry News Herald, a typo mistakenly (and hilariously) labeled our uncle Mark as "Bother of the Bride." Scott is anything but a bother to me, and we were lucky to have a childhood mostly free of sibling conflict. We still get along superbly as adults, and it was a no-brainer to have Scott by my side as my man of honor. Scott goes to Florida State University with a major in professional communications and is involved with the Bryan Hall Living Learning Community and the V89 radio station.

Nicole's younger brother My brother and I are hilariously different people, but are similar in the ways that count. Logan has always been my person to talk to about movies, video games and comic books. Because of each other, we always had a buddy at Mega Con every year. Logan is a Florida State University graduate, and is currently studying abroad in France. Feel free to talk to him about history or politics, and prepare to be amazed by his photographic memory.
Maid of Honor
Emily's childhood friend Monroe and I have been friends since middle school, and our friend group formed through shared classes and the middle school band. (Monroe was in the percussion section. I played the clarinet.) This same group of friends did everything together until we graduated high school, I am beyond thankful that these friendships have lasted into adulthood. Monroe has always been the life (and the host) of every party, and I can't imagine my wedding day without her! Monroe was a Delta Gamma at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), but graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in mechanical engineering. She lives in Hunstville, AL, with her boyfriend Luis and works as an engineer in Bay Minette.

Nicole's friend from law school Law school was extremely stressful, but Nitu never showed it. She is always a positive and upbeat presence in my life. We tend to poke fun at each other, which makes some people uncomfortable, but always makes us laugh. Nitu and I have became a package deal in law school--I'm the one who kept track of school, while she kept me from being too stressed. Nitu is a Chicago native, and has no plans of ever leaving. She received her Bachelors in Forensic Science from Loyola University Chicago and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Emily's childhood friend Maddie and I have been friends since middle school, where we shared many classes and a love of dance. We were co-dance team captains and danced in every school musical and homecoming skit. Our dessert-filled "Fresh Market talks" made many afternoons and late nights fun, and I often wish I could hop in the car and gossip over mini sweets with her. Maddie and I may not be co-captains anymore, but there was no way I could get married without her by my side. Maddie went to Spring Hill College and works as a nurse at Mobile Infirmary. She lives in Daphne, AL, with her son Theo, who is in first grade at Daphne Elementary School.

Nicole's friend from high school It was a great day in high school when Roni came into my life. We quickly became friends between our weekly Chipotle dates and random trips to Goodwill. It was hard going away to separate colleges, but I am so overly excited that we are both now in the Midwest and can spend more time together. They have the purest soul and most loving heart around. Roni is always open to learning new things, and is just an all around great human. Roni is very proud to be from the great state of Texas and is currently attending chiropractic school at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri!

Chicago friend to both brides Halie's husband Nathan, who went to grad school with me and is standing with Nicole, was one of the first people we met when we moved to Chicago. As Nathan and I worked our way through grad school, the four of us became fast friends, bonding over a love of John Mulaney's comedy and quoting TV shows in regular conversation. Halie is my go-to girl and one of the best friends I've made as an adult. Her kindness and positivity endear her to everyone she meets, and I'm so thankful she agreed to be a part of our wedding! Halie went to Southern Utah University and is a phenomenal actress and painter. She recently founded Jacaranda Collective and starred in its hit productions "My Name is Rachel Corrie" and "Romeo and Juliet."

Chicago friend to both brides We met Nathan our very first day in Chicago. Emily posted on Facebook looking for help moving into our first apartment. Nathan immediately came and saved us, and we have been friends ever since. Between always being there when we need him and carrying our trivia team on his shoulders, Nathan has been one of the best things about moving to Chicago. Nathan is a proud Utah native and attended Southern Utah University for his Bachelors. After moving to Chicago and marrying his wife, Halie, Nathan received his Masters in Sports Media from Northwestern University. He is currently a Staff Writer at chicagobears.com. During the wedding, you will most likely find Nathan holding a beer and discussing the demography and sports culture of the Midwest.
