We're Getting Married!

We started spending all our time together from the moment we met at Florida State University. Not only did we hit it off immediately, but we were also roommates, a mentor and mentee in our Living Learning Community and "big" and "little" in the clarinet section (a.k.a. Pieces) of the Marching Chiefs. Things got a lot simpler—and happier—when we became girlfriends in December.

Finally! While on vacation with the Clemons/Zeigler family in Highlands, North Carolina, Nicole coordinated a beautiful, surprise proposal on the deck that Emily's dad built. It was beautiful, complete with tea light candles and photos of all our adventures from the previous four and a half years. The best part, of course, was that the whole family was there to celebrate! As an added surprise, we took engagement photos on Whiteside Mountain the next morning. Nicole received her engagement ring upon return to Chicago, and then it truly hit us—we're getting married!
