Yes! As of April 29, 2021, fully vaccinated guests DO NOT count toward an event's capacity limit. That means we are limited to 50 unvaccinated guests, but we are not limited in the number of fully vaccinated guests. (Note: "Fully vaccinated" means that you received all required doses of your COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the wedding.) We encourage all guests to get vaccinated before the wedding!
We recommend you bring your vaccine card just in case. We are asking for each guest's date of second vaccination to keep a record of vaccinated guests, but it is better to bring the card and be safe rather than sorry!
We do not have a hotel block. We realized that guests could get better prices on hotels by searching the discount sites and planning ahead of time. (We highly recommend Expedia for this!) However, the brides will be staying at LondonHouse Chicago for the wedding weekend. We would love to have our friends and family in the same hotel, so we welcome anyone who would like to stay with us, but feel free to stay wherever you would like! Check out the "Travel" tab to learn more about LondonHouse Chicago.
We only recommend getting a hotel near the wedding venue if you plan only to attend the ceremony and reception while in Chicago. If you are hoping to be a tourist while in the city, we do not recommend staying near the venue because you will be out of the way for many tourist attractions. Also, if you plan to attend the Welcome Party or have been invited to the Rehearsal Dinner, you will also be out of the way for those events. If you are looking for a "downtown" hotel, please be sure that your hotel is in one of the following neighborhoods: The Loop (including West Loop and South Loop), Streeterville, River North, or Gold Coast. We do not recommend staying further north than Lincoln Park, further south than South Loop, or further west than West Loop. However, it is completely your decision and you should do whatever works best for you.
Generally, in July, the Chicago temperature is between 75°F and 90°F. Shirts/blouses and shorts are typically appropriate for this time of year. Chicago is known for its cold weather, but it definitely gets hot in the summers. Rain may also be a factor, so please be aware of that as we get closer to the wedding weekend.
The ceremony starts at 2:00 p.m., and we kindly ask that you arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior.
The entire wedding, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all inside and are actually within the same building.
After the ceremony, the brides will be taking pictures together and with their families. Those not taking pictures will move to the loft space overlooking the ceremony for the cocktail hour and are free to talk and enjoy the live music. Afterwards, all the guests will travel upstairs for the wedding reception.
Our wedding colors are muted fauna green, navy blue, blush, and dark peach. You are welcome to incorporate these colors in your attire, but you are certainly not expected to.
Yes, of course! We want this wedding to be a family event. However, we kindly ask that you notify us with your invitation if you plan to bring your children so we may plan accordingly.
Yes, of course! We know a lot of people are coming from out of town, so if mailing your gift to us personally would make things easier for you, that is completely fine. If you require our address information, it is already preloaded on our registry for your convenience.
Our venue (and our budget) unfortunately limits the number of people we can host at the wedding. As much as we would love to have *everyone* we know and love celebrate with us, it's just not possible. Your invitation will tell you if you can bring a date.
Yes, there is an elevator in the building that guests are welcome to use instead of the stairs.
Yes. The reception will have a full-service open bar and we will be serving a sit-down meal.
We will do our best to accommodate any diet restrictions, just let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. The sooner you contact us, the better.
