A cinematic wedding film is what most refer to as a 'highlight film'. The difference between a standard highlight and our cinematic films is story. Our films are creative stories of your wedding, told in a compelling and engaging way. We use various creative approaches to fully develop your wedding story in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
On the day of your wedding, we arrive early enough to capture your wedding day preparations and stay to the end of the formal events of the reception. During the day, we will follow both the bride and the groom, as well as capture candids of those attending the wedding. Our focus will always be on the couple. Our filming approach is non-evasive and we try to stay back and allow you to enjoy your wedding without causing any distractions.
The length of your film depends on your wedding and your package. The Short Film package includes a wedding video that is 3 minutes at a minimum and 5 minutes at a maximum. The Cinematic Film is 5 minutes at a minimum and 7 minutes at a maximum. The Director's Cut is 8 minutes at a minimum, and generally 12 minutes at a maximum; however, this film may be longer if necessary.
For the Short Film package, your wedding is covered by a single videographer. The Cinematic Film and Director's Cut package will have 2 videographers covering the wedding.
Yes... when we can. We love using the drone to capture stunning aerial footage to enhance your wedding film. However, due to a number of factors, it's not always possible. Weather, location, and restrictions may keep us grounded on your wedding day. But if we can safely fly, we do!
Our booking process is simple and easy. After your initial inquiry, you will receive a custom proposal. If everything is acceptable, you will receive an email to sign your contract as well as an invoice to pay your booking retainer. Approximately 30 days before your wedding, we will reach out to you to finalize some of the details of your wedding and you'll receive an invoice for the balance due on your contract.
A non-refundable retainer is required on the date of booking. Final payment is due on or before the wedding day. Payments will be invoiced online. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
We offer a wedding documentary edit that covers all of the wedding day moments in full detail. The wedding documentary features the full, start to finish ceremony, as well as the full introductions, first dance, and formal dances. What's more, it features the a full version of the wedding toasts. This option must be selected prior to the wedding day as it requires additional equipment on the wedding day. Additionally, this option is only available as an add-on to Cinematic Film, and Director's Cut packages only as it requires a 2 person film crew to successfully accomodate.
With story-focused wedding films, the process of creating is careful and time-consuming process. This creative process cannot be rushed or the story quality will suffer. Typically, it takes between 6-8 months or longer to develop the story and put together the edit. We do strive to be as timely as possible in putting together wedding films, and we guarantee final delivery on or before your first anniversary.
All films are delivered digitally as a file download. Unless specifically requested otherwise, your film will be posted to our YouTube and/or Vimeo channel, as well as featured on our website portfolio. You can request a USB delivery as well.
It's your wedding, and therefore the soundtrack should match your style. We recommend picking a song that you like so we can match the music styling of the wedding film to your music style. We use a variety of loyalty-free music libraries as well as several music licensing services to find the perfect music for your film. We do respect music copyrights and will not use commercial music that cannot be properly licensed.
Our standard service area is the Delmarva Peninsula, as far north as the C&D Canal and as far south as Cape Charles, VA. If you're outside that area or planning a destination wedding, let us know and we can work something out!
