    A Hidden Gem in Gulf Shores

    Your name: Emily R. Your review title: A Hidden Gem in Gulf Shores Your review: Water Woods is such a unique and beautiful venue. The property feels peaceful, romantic, and completely different from anything else in the Gulf Shores area. The lighting, trees, and outdoor spaces create the perfect atmosphere for weddings and special events. Communication was great throughout the process, and you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into every detail. If you are looking for a venue that feels natural, intimate, and memorable, I highly recommend Water Woods.

    Natural, Romantic Venue

    We are getting married here in October but have stayed overnight, and have watched the entire growth process of this venue, and this is the most stunning, thoughtful, intentional space you’ll find in the area Between the naturally lovely environment and the heartfelt care the owners have put in, you’ll be blown away at every turn! Leann has put so much into the landscaping and atmosphere; from a lakeside wine night to a full blown wedding weekend, this is THE spot. With so much available space, you can truly design your perfect day to your exact specifications, and Leann is beyond helpful when it comes to design, creativity, and logistics.  We have been so fortunate to love and enjoy this space and we know you will too

Yes, couples are welcome to bring their own alcohol. We recommend using a licensed and insured bartender for service.
Yes, we offer on-site parking for guests, with additional nearby parking available if needed. There is free parking at The Launch at ICW (about 0.25 miles away) and at The Wharf (about 0.5 miles away). Many couples choose to arrange a shuttle service convenience.
Water + Woods is an outdoor venue with natural terrain. While portions of the property are accessible, some areas may be uneven. We recommend discussing any specific accessibility needs with us in advance, and we’re happy to work with you to create the best experience for your guests.
Yes, event insurance is required for all weddings and events. This is a standard policy that helps protect both you and the venue. Coverage is typically very affordable and easy to obtain online. We’re happy to provide guidance on recommended providers if needed.
Our starting rental fee includes exclusive access to our private 10-acre property, featuring a scenic pond, outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, and beautifully lit gathering areas. You’ll also have access to our fire pit lounge, seating areas, and string lighting throughout the property for a warm, romantic atmosphere. Our treehouse and bunkhouse accommodations (sleeping up to 12 guests) are available as an add-on with overnight or weekend rentals. We also offer the flexibility to bring your own vendors, so you can fully customize your wedding day to match your vision.
Our standard event bookings include up to 15 hours of access to the property, giving you plenty of time for setup, your ceremony, reception, and cleanup. We also offer overnight and full weekend rental options for couples who want a more relaxed, extended experience. These packages allow for additional time on-site and access to our treehouse and bunkhouse accommodations. If you need extra time beyond your package, additional hours can be added based on availability.
Payments: 30% non-refundable retainer to book, 30% due 90 days prior, and final 40% due 30 days prior. Cancellation: Retainer is non-refundable. 90+ days prior, no additional balance due. 30–89 days prior, 50% of total is owed. Within 30 days, full balance is owed. Rescheduling: One-time reschedule permitted up to 60 days prior. Requests within 60 days are treated as a cancellation. New date must be within 12 months and is subject to availability.
The closest airport is Gulf Shores International Airport (JKA), located just about 15 minutes from our venue. Many guests also fly into Pensacola International Airport (PNS), which is about an hour away and offers more flight options. From either airport, we recommend renting a car or using a rideshare service to reach the venue.
