Sag Lodge (also known alongside its companion property as Sag Lodge & Top of the Trail Cabin) is a rustic-yet-modern wilderness retreat located at the literal end of the historic Gunflint Trail in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Perched right on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and the Canadian border, it sits on a scenic vista overlooking Lake Saganaga—home to Minnesota’s record walleye.

Sag Lodge can host outdoor micro-weddings and medium-sized celebrations for up to 125 guests.
Indoor capacity is heavily limited. The indoor lodge dining and meeting spaces comfortably seat only about 16 to 20 guests (up to 75 standing for cocktails). Because of this, renting a reception tent for the lakeside yard is highly recommended as a backup plan if you are inviting more than 20 people.
No. Sag Lodge is a 100% BYO (Bring Your Own) catering venue. You have total freedom to hire outside caterers, bring in local food trucks from Grand Marais, or even coordinate a casual family-style barbecue using the lodge's communal kitchen and outdoor grilling stations.
It is completely BYO alcohol. There are no corkage fees or required bar packages, which can save you thousands of dollars. However, you will need to coordinate your own bartenders, ice, and alcohol transportation.
