Lindley Scott House is a mansion wedding venue in Azusa, California. Open year-round and has been providing a beautiful setting for personalized weddings and receptions since 1978. This Wedding Chapel is located in the city of Azusa close to the San Gabriel Mountains on 4 acres of lush gardens. Lindley Scott House offers both indoor and uncovered outdoor event spaces that are great for your wedding ceremony and reception. They offer two different event spaces for your occasion. One event space is the front lawn area with a large lawn and trees and the second event space is located adjacent to the Carriage House

The lawn area

This area faces the San Gabriel Mountains and is surrounded by stately trees and hedgerows.

This event space is the front lawn area with a large lawn and trees. It features majestic cypress trees along with a very large California live oak, which creates a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos.

The Carriage House

All receptions are held in the Carriage House with a maximum seating capacity of 200. The Carriage House was built in 2003 and meets all local and state building codes. The Carriage House has its own commercial kitchen and we pride ourselves in preparing all meals on site and using only the freshest ingredients. All meals are prepared at the time of the reception and directly served to your guests. We do not allow outside catering.

Everything you’ll need for a stylish reception is included in your wedding package. There are, however, many options available to meet individual ideas and requests. In addition, there is only one event per day. You will not be sharing your special day with anyone other than your groom, family, and friends.

    This place is in the dark ages. I work weddings all over Southern and Northern California and this was one of the most obnoxious places to shoot a wedding. They really limit the time you get inside the house which is a shame. I was asked to read a long list of absurd rules before entering the house and I was not allowed even one minute in before our time started. It's just appalling to have to read the list like a child before I could start my work. The exterior of the house is filthy and Scott was just obnoxiously strict about everything. I would also watch out for the preferred vendor list. The DJ/MC team I worked with were from the dark ages; old cds and weird announcements - I did not appreciate being what told what to do from a bizarre MC. There are plenty of fantastic and affordable venues in Southern California, this is not one of them. Nothing redeeming.

    Diane at the Lindley-Scott House was very thorough in making sure we understood all the details of hosting our wedding there. Their event space was the perfect size for our intimate family ceremony, and they provided us with a wide variety of menu options to fit our budget. Scott was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to arrive early to set up and decorate, and he had patience with our family when we ran a bit over the timeline. We're so grateful to the Lindley-Scott House team for helping make our special day so seamless and memorable.

    If you're looking for a place to host a wedding in Southern California, absolutely consider the Lindley-Scott House. Diane, Scott, and George were with me every step of the way, and I instantly felt at peace once I walked onto the property. Their communication was fast, effective, professional, and kind. The quality of their work and value is stunning - the venue is a gorgeous, historic one-stop shop that my guests loved. Scott, Diane, and George made me feel right at home, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my special day.
