About this venue

Built by the State of Texas for the 1936 Centennial Exposition, the Hall of State is the crown jewel of Fair Park and has hosted events honoring presidents, royalty, heads of state, and other dignitaries for over seventy years. Located just minutes from downtown Dallas, the Hall of State can be rented for private functions ranging from corporate dinners or meetings to weddings or gala social events.

Great Hall

Make you own History in the Hall of State - a historical building for your historical moment.

The Great Hall is just over 6,000 square feet, with murals on both sides of the Hall and the gold Great Seal of Texas the focal point of the room. The 45 foot tall ceilings add to the grand feeling of the room. The Hall of Heroes in front of the Great Hall makes for a perfect cocktail space, with over 3,000 square feet there is more than adequate room for all your guests.

Included in this room:

Marble floors, which remove the need for a rented dance floor. Beautiful chandeliers add warm lighting and can be adjusted for dancing. The Hall of Heroes (3,000 square feet space in front of main room). Easy load in/load out ramp.

    Its no secret that Texans are proud people, so what better place to get married in than a building that celebrates just that? The Hall of State is absolutely beautiful and Nora is such a sweetheart! They have all of the tables and chairs onsite that you need so you do not have to worry about a rental company bringing them in. Also the Hall of State provides you with a list of preferred vendors so that you have experienced people to deal with the challenges of flipping a room and not having a kitchen on site. Overall you can not beat the grandness of the ballroom or the pictures you will get from having your wedding at the hall of state!
