About this venue

Bright Eye Beer Co. is a family-owned brewery and taproom in the heart of Long Beach, New York, rooted in great beer and a welcoming atmosphere. Born from our family’s original business, JA Heneghan’s Tavern, Bright Eye opened with Grandma Babe’s blessing in February 2020 and grew with the support of a close-knit community. Inspired by Long Beach’s history, Bright Eye draws from the fishing industry that inspired our name and the century-old Five & Dime shop upstairs, now renovated into our second-floor bar and event space. Stop in for a post-beach beer, grab a crowler, or celebrate a milestone. In 2024, Bright Eye expanded to include The Upstairs, a flexible event venue featuring original tin ceilings, historic beams, a wraparound bar, cozy seating, rustic furnishings, and a dedicated catering room, ideal for weddings, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and private events.

    Engagement Party

    Bright eye was the perfect venue for our engagement party the space upstairs is spacious and a perfect mix of casual and classy for our guests to feel comfortable. The bartenders and staff are very friendly, accommodating and easy to work with! Would definitely recommend.

    The Best!

    Bright Eye Beer Co. was the perfect venue for our celebration. The team was friendly, prompt, helpful and easy to work with from the very beginning. Their beautiful, spacious and stylish event space provided endless possibilities for our special day. The Bright Eye team went above and beyond with attention to detail, offering thoughtful guidance on the room layout and timing our music entrance perfectly, making the entire experience feel effortless and personal. We are so grateful for the incredible service and unique atmosphere they provided to make our event unforgettable.

Wedding bookings include a 12 hour rental of the full space for all vendor, decor and entertainment set up and breakdown and 5 hours of an open bar party. Other parties rentals are 5 hours including 1 hour of set up, 3.5 hour party and 30 minute breakdown.
Outside drinks of any kind are not permitted. We serve beer, wine, and cider, New York State Liquors along with many non-alcoholic options! While we appreciate sustainability, please leave all containers, tumblers, and bottles at home.
While we don’t have an on-site lot, there’s plenty of street parking nearby, as well as an LIRR parking lot directly across the street with metered parking (about $0.50/hour) Monday–Friday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During the summer, hours may extend to weekends, and parking is often free outside of posted times. For events, we always recommend using rideshare apps when possible so guests can relax and enjoy safely.
We do have an in house kitchen with a catering menu that we would be happy to share but outside caterers are also welcome upon approval.
Dogs are allowed only in the downstairs taproom, not in our Upstairs Event Space.
Our upstairs event space is one large open room that can accommodate up to 160 guests standing. Depending on the size of your event, you can reserve the entire upstairs for a fully private event or reserve one of our designated semi-private sections for smaller gatherings. While we offer smaller reserved sections within the upstairs space, there are no movable walls or partitions, so semi-private areas remain open to the rest of the upstairs guests. If you're unsure which option is the best fit, we're happy to help recommend the best setup based on your guest count and the style of your event.
We don’t have a traditional peak or off-peak season since we’re an indoor venue. Summer is always beautiful here as a beach town, but fall and winter are also very popular months for brewery events. Because of that, we tend to stay busy year-round and consider ourselves in peak season throughout the year.

Yes, all of our facilities are wheelchair accessible. Our entrance is at ground level with no elevation, and we have an ADA-accessible elevator available for guests who need it.
