About Trevor Wood Photography

Trevor Wood Photography

Photographer

I'm a Southern California-based wedding and event photographer with a story driven, documentary-style approach. I believe the best photos come from feeling comfortable and present, which is why I lean into capturing genuine moments as they naturally unfold. That said, I'm also happy providing direction - especially for portraits. My work emphasizes true-to-life color and timeless black-and-white imagery, capturing moments that feel authentic, personal, and true to you.

I know being in front of a camera doesn't come naturally to everyone—and it doesn't have to. My role is to create a calm, relaxed experience where you can be yourselves, stepping in with guidance when it's helpful and fading into the background when it's not. The result is a gallery that reflects not just how your day looked, but how it felt.

Best Wedding Photos Full of Joy & Emotion!

Trevor was truly the best to work with. From the start, he was incredibly thoughtful about planning out the day so that when our wedding arrived, we could be completely carefree and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. He made taking photos genuinely fun! We didn't want stuffy or overly posed wedding photos, and Trevor understood that perfectly. He came with great ideas and even showed us examples of fun, natural moments we could recreate. The result feels like a documentary of our wedding day. There is so much joy and emotion in every photo, and looking through them feels like experiencing the day all over again. Once Trevor uploaded everything to our online album and we started sharing the photos, the texts about how amazing they were were nonstop. We’ve never particularly cared for dance floor photos from weddings, but we are OBSESSED with ours! He even managed to get a smiling photo of our teenage nephew, which no one has accomplished in years. Most importantly, Trevor captured so many special moments between us and the people we love. You can feel the happiness in every shot, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have these memories documented so beautifully. We highly recommend Trevor!

    Repeat Client

We've used Trevor to capture several important life events for our family, from photos during our wedding weekend, to the gender reveal for our child, and, most recently, family photos with our baby girl. Trevor has excelled in capturing the essence of each of these special occasions, particularly by way of his talent in taking candid shots. He has the ability to really see his subjects and reflect the emotion of a moment back in his photographs. On a personal level, Trevor is kind and puts you at ease - this allows everyone to be themselves in front of the camera because you basically forget the camera is there! Instead, Trevor's laid back style enables everyone to focus on the main event, which we have always appreciated. It is clear that he truly cares about his craft and is focused on delivering both a great experience and photographs that his clients will treasure. We look forward to continuing to work with him and give him our highest recommendation!

    Incredible Photographer - Incredible Photos

From our first conversation with Trevor Wood Photography, we felt at ease with his straightforward and responsive approach to planning our day. Trevor delivered exactly what we asked for with the formal shots, but he also caught the candid moments between—the genuine smiles, the quiet laughs, the real stuff that matters. His work is artistic and original, and every photo feels authentic to who we are. Trevor clearly masters his craft, bringing both professionalism and humor to everything he does. We walked away with a stunning collection of images that perfectly capture our wedding day, and we highly recommend him to any couple looking for a photographer who truly gets it.

    The BEST photographer

Wow!! Trevor is simply the best. He’s incredibly talented - and the easiest to work with. He’s taken many photos for our family over the years (Christmas cards, birthdays) and always manages to capture everyone’s “good side”. Thank you for all that you do!

Couples typically book me about 6-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about availability, and I'll do my absolute best to be flexible!
I sometimes bring an assistant if it's going to be a large wedding - She helps me keep everything organized and on track (especially around family portraits). I'm typically the only photographer!
This will depend on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I aim to deliver between 350-500 unique photographs on final delivery.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Unfortunately not. As a solo photographer I find switching back-and-forth between photo and video tends to lower the quality you receive in both. So photography is my preferred medium :)
