About Koa & Kai Photography
Cass Fontaine
Maine-based wedding and elopement photographer specializing in documentary-style coverage. I photograph weddings with a documentary approach, allowing your day to unfold naturally while offering thoughtful guidance when it matters most—creating refined, story-driven imagery that feels honest, elevated, and timeless.
I believe the most beautiful photographs aren’t necessarily the most perfect ones, but the ones that make you feel something. My approach blends honest, unscripted documentary storytelling with romantic, editorial artistry. I’m drawn to the fleeting glances, beautiful chaos, quiet intimacy, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Rather than asking you to perform for the camera, I create space for you to be fully present. I’ll offer gentle direction when needed and step back when the moment speaks for itself. Your wedding isn’t a production to perfect. It’s a story to experience, and one worth remembering exactly as it felt.

My husband and I were married on 6.27.26 and I am so thrilled that we chose Cassie at Koa and Kai Photography to capture our special day. Not only is she funny, SO kind and warm, and easy breezy, she is INCREDIBLY talented and really embraced the vibe of what I wanted our photos to entail (warm, intimate, organic moments, etc). She is thoughtful and organized (her client portal is so helpful), and she managed my decision making fatigue and some other special considerations about our day with ease and professionalism that was top tier.
