Can we personalize our ceremony?

I give you one of 2 script that I use (Spiritual, but not overly religious OR just about love). You go through each section, select the options within it that you like and write those on the cover page. The ones you do not select do not show up in your ceremony. None of the selections are to morose or drippy, nor are they too new age-y. Then you go to the next sections and do the same thing. When you are done, you will feel like everyone else who has done this: "This sounds like us!" If you have a big wedding and choose very little, you will be about 20 minutes. If you choose a lot, you will be under 30 minutes (I never go over a half-hour).

Absolutely. Do you do rehearsals? Is that included in your cost?

I am not needed at a rehearsal. All you do is practice where and how you come in and how you get out. (Pretty simple) It is much better for you if that is all you practice, because, if you practice the whole ceremony, you will inevitably forget most of it, and will instead be worrying the whole time about what comes next. If I just whisper to you the few things you do, it is MUCH better for you, because you can enjoy your own wedding. We do, however, meet about a week beforehand (either in person or by Face Time, etc.) to just go over what you do at the rehearsal, and also to get to know each other again after, often, a considerable time.

Question 6

We’re legally married already. Can you still do our ceremony?

Sure! You may have had the legal part done previously, but now you want to celebrate with your family and friends. That is wonderful!

Question 7

Do you provide or require premarital counseling?

Accepted Answer

I can do one session. But I have found that studies show that marriages last longer with pre-marital counseling and also that it doesn't make much difference. It depends if YOU want it to last. I do have an "encouragement" paper that I can pass out to you for the two of you to discuss some important things to discuss before you take that giant step of marriage.
