Officiant and Event Manager

I have been marrying couples since 2011 and cementing a union between two people is one of my greatest joys. I will work with you to create a personalized ceremony and, if you need some additional logistics help, I have worked as an Events Manager on weddings, non profit fundraisers, and corporate events.

I specialize but am not limited to, same sex couples and, in addition to a traditional 'buttoned up' ceremony, I offer options for a looser, more fun, ceremony as well. If you are unsure about the type of ceremony you'd like, I have two sample ceremonies that I will share with you once I've been hired. Hopefully these will inspire you to create your own, or, happy to use one or combine them for a ceremony that you will remember forever.

I started working as a Wedding Planner for a business that had recently opened their doors when Marriage Equality became legal in New York in 2011. Soon after, I became an Officiant and regularly did double duty as planner and officiant. I performed a few dozen weddings between 2011- 2020 but put it on pause during covid.

Yes! Sometimes couples come to me with a ceremony they've written but more often they don't know where to start. I have a couple 'go to' same ceremonies to help inspire you. Sometimes couples just use one of those ceremonies, sometimes they combine them and sometimes they use it as a springboard for something unique. Ultimately, this is your wedding and the ceremony should be everything exactly as you'd like it to be. I *strongly* prefer to have a finished ceremony 48 hours prior to the wedding so I can practice it. However, I've also worked as an emcee and have the ability to smoothly integrate anything that happens.

Yes, I'm happy to work with you for a rehearsal and that is included in my cost.
