Poetry Von Chelle is an intuitive on-the-spot typewriter poet, a unique art form that blends the timeless craft of poetry writing with the spontaneity of a live performance. With the star of the show, a vintage typewriter, Von Chelle takes literary snapshots of heartfelt human connection and crafts it into words of wisdom and wonder. Each poem is a reflection of the moment, turning brief interactions into heartwarming and memorable verse. The tactile experience of hearing the typewriter keys strike the paper adds an element of nostalgia and authenticity, making each poem an immersive and intimate experience for all.

A typewriter poet will heighten the ambiance of any venue with an intellectual and romantic air. Guests will sit with me for about 10 minutes where I will have a short and thoughtful conversation with them about the topic or prompt of their choice, work on the poem on my typewriter on the spot, and then read the poem as part of a mini performance that is intimately just for them. I package the poem in an elegant envelope that matches the event’s color palette. The guests get to take home a customized poem as a party favor that they will remember for a very long time because of how my poems made them feel.

    Amazing Poet & Unique Activity for Guests

    We hired Von to do personalized typewriter poetry for our wedding and she was the hit of the night. We wanted unique activities for our guests, and she absolutely delivered. She went above and beyond for us, and we’re incredibly grateful. Everyone was raving about her and her poetry, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.     Amazing experience

    From my 50th birthday Poetry Von Chelle provided intuitive poems for me and my guests and it was such a hit. Guest told me how this was such an amazing experience for them. She was so kind and thoughtful and even brought tears for some (good tears!) This was such a perfect gift for my guest and an experience they can keep forever.     A: An evening made brighter by Poetry Von Chelle

    Yvonne was amazing! She filled in last-minute for my wife and I’s wedding with only a couple days of notice after our original poet had a family emergency. Her style was integral to the romantic ambience we wanted for our guests: an intimate dinner party for our friends and family. 
 So many of our guests gushed about how fun and special it was to have a poem written for them. Since Yvonne sent photos of all the poems, we got to share in our guests’ experiences the following morning! I was struck by Yvonne’s style — while the themes of the poems (love, family, relationships) were similar for many people, she was still able to create unique and personal poems that spoke to them and their experiences. We would wholeheartedly recommend Yvonne to anyone looking for memorable addition to any celebration!
