We specialize in lighting, staging, drapery, dance floor wraps, audio, and visual production that transforms ordinary venues into unforgettable wedding experiences. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a grand reception, we take the time to understand your vision and design an event that feels authentically you. Our goal is simple: create beautiful, seamless celebrations that leave a lasting impression on you and your guests.

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. Every lighting design, stage layout, drapery installation, and production plan is custom-tailored to your venue and your vision. Because we provide multiple production services in-house, we can create cohesive designs while simplifying the planning process with a single trusted partner. We're known for creative problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and transforming spaces in ways couples never thought possible.

    We used Heron Events for our wedding in October 2026. I wanted to elevate the lighting in our reception venue as it was a classic Durham warehouse vibe and I was worried about it being slightly dark. Leif did both uplighting and bistro lighting. They worked with our wedding planner to coordinate everything in the space. This really elevated the space and created a fantastic look for the evening as the space darkened! Cannot recommend their services enough!

    Leif took on a huge undertaking by installing paper lanterns and a disco ball at our venue, Durham Central Park Pavilion, with a tight setup window. The lanterns and disco ball made such a difference in creating the atmosphere we envisioned! Leif visited the venue beforehand to assess the space and plan the lantern layout, which we really appreciated. Throughout the process, Leif was transparent and communicative. When the sloping ground made it impossible to hang some of the lanterns safely, Leif refunded us for the ones that couldn't be installed and didn't charge us for the additional labor time. We’re happy to support a queer-owned business and grateful for the care and creativity Leif brought to our wedding.
