Elevate your bar experience with the help of our Piaggio Ape. We’ve modified this traditional Italian three-wheel to be the perfect addition to any party. From Prosecco to nitro cold brew, we’ve got what you need to keep the good times a-flowin’!
In addition to the most I G worthy bar in the state, we can serve anything in a keg! While we always recommend our personal favorite, Prosecco, we also serve craft beer, domestic beer, cider, red wine, white wine, rosé, sparkling wine and sangria. As well as non-alcoholic favorites like lemonade, artisanal sodas, seltzer, cold brew coffee and even nitro cold brew. Have a favorite cocktail or mocktail? How much time do you have? Simply put, we can serve anything in a keg. Seriously. After you reach out and complete a questionnaire about your event, one of our team members will contact you to set up a consultation to chat and tighten up the details. We are fully licensed and insured to distribute and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks so no worries there. Day of the event we will have everything chilled and ready for you. Depending on event size, you will have at least one tap attendant on hand to keep the drinks flowing and at the ready to get a quick picture of you with the Apé.
Not at all! The great thing about our tap truck is that we are fully licensed and insured to provide and serve alcohol on our own, but we also work directly with event venues on a ‘dry-hire’ basis. Basically you work with your venue to select and purchase kegged beverages and we coordinate with your contact to go over logistics. Have a venue in mind? In addition to the most Instagram worthy bar in the state, we also provide at least one tap attendant, tossware, cocktail napkins, set up and tear down. Interested in glassware? Let us know we can provide options and pricing.
While our Piaggio Apé is from Italy, Houndstooth & Hooch is from Des Moines aka the insurance capital of the world. That is to say we have things covered with general liability and liquor liability insurance. Due to Iowa’s liquor licensing requirements we need at least 45 days to ensure the appropriate licensing is approved. Working on a slightly tighter timeline? Reach out and we can see if we can help!
It sure can! As long as there are double doors and the venue space is cool with it we can go anywhere.
We have been known to travel far and wide for a party! We are located in Des Moines and travel within 25 miles is included in the rental. Anything outside of that radius, we charge $1 per mile each way.
